Cut-off time for selections - 1.35 pm Sunday
HERITAGE HANDICAP CHALLENGE 2010
The competition will cover 25 (or so) of the biggest Heritage Handicaps of the flat season. A thread on which selections can be posted will be put up a couple of days before the race and selections can be made up to 1/2hr before race time.
Players are given 2 stake points per race. Players can use the 2pts on 1 selection or share the 2pts between 2 selections, 1pt each. Points will be awarded based on each selections finishing position down to 6th place. Results will be settled at SP.
1st place will get stake x 12 x SP 2nd place will get stake x 6 x SP 3rd place will get stake x 4 x SP 4th place will get stake x 3 x SP 5th place will get stake x 2 x SP and 6th place will get stake x 1 x SP
Non-runners: If you choose one selection, please feel free to nominate a reserve just in case of late withdrawal. If you choose two selections and one is a non-runner, your 2pts will go on the remaining selection. In either case you can replace a non-runner as normal up to the 1/2hr cut-off time. If you make a selection and it doesn't run and you haven't covered it with a reserve, your 2pts will go on the favourite (in case of jt or co favs then the 2pts will go on the one which is highest in the hcap).
Anyone welcome to join at any time.

I thought it was the Stan James handicap that kicks off todays card, not tomorrow's!
In that case I will have
Chiberta's King Topolski 1pt each please duke.

Jeez man!...now I'm even more confused because, as has just been pointed out, there are two SJ sponsored Grade 2 handicaps tomorrow! :D
So, if it turns out to be the 4th race (the sprint) then I'll have
Orpsie Boy please duke.
Cheers, Mad.

Sadly, I am withdrawing from the competition. I've played this competition for many a year but I'm finding it too confusing too follow in it's current guise.

Or you could always have volunteered to run it yourself?
Throwing one's teddy out of the pram is not the way forward!

madhatter-no need for a verbal assault :-( , I'm simply finding it too confusing at present. I have a few Saturday's coming up when I will need to post mid-week for holidays, then the forum moves onto a new platform on Tuesday which will lose all the competition archives. For me, it's an opportune time to call it a day, not for someone to make a snide jibe about running it myself which wasn't the point.

Hi duke, Sorry to be a pain but can I change my selections please, given that it has now rained.
So cross out Chiberta King and Topolski (usually fatal to change your mind I know!) and put both points on Hillview Boy for me please. Cheers, Mad.

Are we not doing the Victoria Cup tomorrow as well? I only ask because some of us have to work on Saturday's taking calls from punters, so posting tomorrow gets a bit complex
