It ain't all over 'til the fat lady sings... .
bosstipper's tip for today was particularly apt given his form this month - Thundering Home. It lost, but boss was highly unlikely to be headed and he won another Premiership title with a final profit of £26.48. The gap back to general custer in 2nd would've been much greater than£16.07 if it weren't for gc nailing 9/2 winner Stanstill which consolidated 2nd spot. gc ended the month with £10.41. kwalker was 3rd with £3.27. Well done to boss, and also to gc and kwalk who filled the podium places. :) Five others ended the month in profit. They were: Ricky Santini - £3.16 Far From Trouble - £3.00 razmos - £2.20 Red Hand - £1.92 Poppydog - £1.14 Well done to you guys. Apart from bosstipper's crushing victory the day's main story was Hoss's Great Escape. His winner, Hip Hip Hooray, was returned at 14/1 and that enabled Hoss to climb four spots and escape the drop zone, finally finishing in 19th. Phew ! One place behind him in 20th comes Draw 1 who ended the month with 2/1 winning favourite Yawary. With Hoss's leap to freedom, that condemned poor foxy to relegation, alongside FCH, Playschool and BigChris. Commiserations to you all and hope to see you back soon. blue |

If I can stop laughing for long enough, I would just like to say well done to Boss and thanks to Blue, also to apologize to foxy for his undeserved demise.
As to my own escape, it was either :- a) Like Ali versus Frazier, where Ali spent most of the fight on the ropes, only to come off right at the end to claim a famous victory. or b) A desperate bid to find a horse in double figures, that wasn't a complete no hoper, that would allow me to bow out gracefully. Ahem, ''cough,'' ''splutter,'' the answer's b, ''cough,'' ''cough''. |
