I was equally interested in both at that time. Got fed up with the flat sometime in the 70s and didn`t really get interested again for 25 years, although I obviously knew about the likes of Shergar and Dancing Brave. Sea Bird`s year was 1965 so pretty much the same time as Arkle was at his peak.

Hancock was good, but my favourite was his sidekick Sid James. A comic genius imo. Agree about Dunkirk and his heroic end,when being asked the impossible, but I never warmed to Flyingbolt for some reason. Was glad to put him in his place in 1966.
