I am looking for new entrants who wish to take part in some football competitions on the "your competitions forum".

Season 9 of the UK football Competition starts this weekend, as does the first round of the FA Cup style competition. There will also be a "last man standing" competition starting in a couple of weeks.

Please post below if you wish to participate. Though you need to put your name down by 3pm on Thurday to be involved in the FA Cup competition, as the draw will be made then.

League overview

The aim is to finish with the highest total profit over a 10 week season. There are two divisions: a premier league & division 1. (Newcomers start in division 1)
At the end of 10 weeks there is promotion / relegation between the divisions.

You have 12 points to split between either 2 or 3 selections. If you don't use your points before the saturday 3pm deadline, then you will lose 6 points that week.

The maximum allowable bet size is 6 points, and selections must be singles only. (no doubles or trebles etc...)

Matches to make your picks from, "unless I specify otherwise", are Friday - Sunday games incorporate the English & Scottish League divisions, plus the English conference.

Cup overview

They are knockout one off ties, played on the FA Cup weekends.

The person with the most profit goes through to the next round!
In the event of a tie: whose ever points staked, multiplied by their selections odds, is higher wins! If still a tie, then the person who posted their selections first goes through.

You have 12 points to split between, either 2 or 3 Cup selections.

The maximum allowable bet size is 6 points, and selections must be in 1, X, 2 format.

nickwin/jimbob - you may have done anyway but can you take me out of the competition please? I come on here on a Saturday about midday and put on 2 random bets without looking at stats or anything, if I even post selections at all. Not really fair on someone who will want to do it properly etc.
Thanks for all your hard work over the last 4 or so seasons (unbelievably I won Div 1 three years ago believe it or not :o ), it has been most enjoyable.

stewpot it just needs ignoring. The odds are copied & pasted from a bookies, which has a number on the end relating to the amount of other betting markets for that particular fixture.
