It's high time I decided what's happening for next year's comp. :)
I've been putting it off, not sure if I can or want to commit to a full 8 month version again, but I'd say yes let's go for it. :)

So the plan is to start up again in February!

As for the format, I'm going back to all-in-one division.
Partly because support for both formats is roughly split down the middle & partly because it's slightly easier to manage keeping results & number of threads etc.

I'd still welcome some help though, particularly on Saturdays, all I would say is that you don't have to use my spreadsheet, "pen & paper" is fine, I would just need some weekly totals that I can plug in to keep the overall monthly/yearly tables updated.
In addition to the maths, you would be asked to keep an eye on rules being followed etc.

As always your comments on format and rules are welcome, given that I'm going with the one division version, any suggestions for improvements on that basis will be gladly considered :)

Thanks for your support :)

Good for you ud :)
Great news.
I could certainly try and help out a bit most Sats. Not with spreadsheets etc. But my maths is reasonable when sober ( which I am in the afternoons ).

thanks ud, excellent comp and I'll definitely still be in - even after my miserable 2009 picks. I start a new shift pattern in the new year so won't be around most Saturdays to help out, i'm afraid.

All in one-yeah! Will stop us being the yo-yo team when over the long trip we've possibly been the most consistent in some seasons ;-)

Ud I think you know by now I will always help out, cover etc. Will continue to use your spreadsheet which is very user friendly once you are familar with it. I`m not sure how the others got on trying it but I think they should give it a go. Saturday`s are time consuming as most, myself included tend to leave selections till then mainly for convenience sake, very often missing winners in the week.

I suggest if PDB is around and active on Saturdays we leave it to him, but if he doesn't show the other volunteers get involved. PDB does a great job in your absence, so really we only need to cover him, rather than you UD.

Thats my view anyway!!

DeSSie is probably right as I certainly can`t handle spreadsheets. He and I anybody else could perhaps undetake to check for duplicates, out-of -time selections, non-runners etc. I don`t think the ability or otherwise to use spreadsheets is relevant there.
