Every series bar none in the final the acts have got to do their best song of the series, but not this year.  Matt would have absolutely killed the show stone dead with 'the first time',Rebecca had the fantastic 'make you feel my love' what did 1D have?  Nothing, they have been consistently average every week, no memorable performances.  Their one stand out performance - 'Torn' from the judges houses hasn't been used in the live shows, but guess what - it is rumoured for tomorrow.  I can't see them overturning Matt, but Cowell is doing his best to ensure they at least match JLS's second place.  Whatever you thought of their duet, having Robbie Williams calling upon the audience to vote for 1D is a great coup.

With Cowell launching the American version next year he is bound to want to showcase the winning act to the American audience. If he showcase Cardle then the american audeience will laugh him off as they know there are street performers who have more charisma and talent than him. With Rebecca he has the unique sounding voice to sell to the yanks and that nina simone look.

Two hour show - my guess is that all three get to perform one more song (possibly the audition song?), one then leaves the competition at around 8.30pm, with the final two acts performing two each including best from series and winner's song.

All pure guesswork, but there's plenty of airtime to fill...

Think there is an appearance by some of the "memorable" audition people, and a couple of guest performers.

Bound to be lots of VT showing family and friends and the 'journey'.
Rebecca's VT will be the most emotional with her kids and poor background looking to do better for her kids. Cardle's VT will be to show how his rich parents investment did not go to waste. Then we will have 5 individual VT on One Direction to showcase each memeber's life story. Easily 1 hour filler.

Take That performing is a nice subliminal way of Cowell reinforcing why viewers should vote for One Direction too...

The lengths these people will go to!

For those lamenting Rebecca's performance last night, 11/5 Matt-One D forecast with SJ looks value now.

If Simon's banned the word journey can we also ban "amazing".
Or perhaps there's an opportunity for a new market.
How many times the word "amazing " is used.
