to be honest, a lot of people have a go at the daily mail and the people who read it, but its website actually has quite high traffic figures.
would be nice to see how many votes were cast.to be honest, a lot of people have a go at the daily mail and the people who read it, but its website actually has quite high traffic figures.
The Daily Mail have Rebecca with a sizeable lead http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/po...pollId=1022386

I don't know how many votes there has been, but it always seems to me that the Daily Mail gets a LOT of daily traffic. Popular stories sometimes have 1,000+ comments.

When it reaches the Final and every man and his dog comes out to vote on X Factor "election night", with a considerable number of new voters taking part, the deciding factor isn't song choice or performance, it's likeability and who is seen as more 'deserving'. In essence it's a popularity contest, it's isn't just about talent.
Cher isn't likeable, her image has been that of a cocky brat, and she has been in the bottom two twice. Not enough people will wish to reward that attitude, so she will come fourth.
If on form, and free of illness, Matt has the potential to impress vocally compared to who he's up against. But he has all but destroyed the likeability he had early on, to all but his diehard supporters, by being too outspoken, coming across as bad tempered and arrogant. Many people are aware that his deserving 'tradesman' background is false, and whoever invented it, he went along with it. I believe he will come third.
One Direction have been seen as likeable throughout the entire competition, and much has been made of their 'we're best mates' chemistry. Girls and grandmas love them, and they will bring youthful fun to the Final. They will come second.
Rebecca has been seen as likeable throughout, said by some to be the nicest person they ever worked with. She's a single mother of two. In PR terms she has not put a foot wrong. She has broader appeal and will likely win

Gymtan can you explain why this webpoll represents "real voters"?
Seems like an easily manipulated webpoll on a notoriously reactionary newspaper website to me?

charlie, i'm not necessarily saying this would represent "real voters" - i never said it did, that was pmbets.
i'm just saying that the daily mail website has MUCH MUCH HIGHER traffic than one might expect given the reputation of the newspaper, so you may not totally want to dismiss this poll.
dailymail.co.uk is actually the most read online daily uk newspaper. comfortably so. far more than thesun.co.uk. it's actually a very good, successful, profitable and valuable (commercially) website.
