yes running order and duets can influence but as the final
approaches I this could be the X Factor in influencing the winner
for example simon can destroy an act with his demeanour and comments
eg eggnog, and likewise can push an act further up the food chain

what u lot reckon?
feedback on what could be said etc serious and in jest
would be welcome

They can have some influence where it is close, ie. along the lines of Steve Brookstein and G4.

And not where it isn't, ie. Leon and Rhydian.

Re: Alexandra, JLS, Eoghan year.  I think Eoghan's support was already on the wain/not enough to carry him through by the time of the final and SCowell just hammered the final nails in the coffin.

JLS were gathering momentum that week, and maybe with another week they could have done it, but ultimately the songs, duet and ramp did the business.

If Simon said:
"You know what? I agree with what Louis said last Saturday. Rebecca, you are the nicest X-Factor contestant I have ever known. You are a credit to Liverpool, a credit to the competition and a credit to you children. You are what X-Factor is about - giving an opportunity to decent, ordinary people with great talent. Rebecca - you deserve to win".

Then I think it would make THE difference (note it is about Rebecca as a person & it is pro-Rebecca not anti the others).

I think an orchestrated 4 person standing ovation could have a large effect as could the scenario that LG has put forward.

Unfortunately I think it would take a monster ramp and a small miracle to Get Rebecca past Cardle now.

I actually have nothing against Matt apart from the fact that the turd will be unbearable, at least he is blocked now so I wont have to read his dysentry laden posts.

Cowell stated on the extra Factor that the best person will win the show, and his preference is for Rebecca so we will see if he is correct.

Sharon osborne def gave S brookstein a massive boost with her outbursts
sympathy can be a big motivator in  reality votes
if cheryl does not hide her emotions well when cher gets the boot, crying making it look like cher was favored a lot more than becca
i can see Scowell using this to help becca, saying something a long the lines of "this is not fare you still have one contestant left becca deserves better"

"rebecca I think you're world class. You lack a bit of cofidence I think you more than anyone would benefit from winning the competition to give you the confidence to go and exceed on the world stage"

That would be a corker.

turd lol HF, see this is where Im unsure as I am convinced rebecca still has to
have her 'moment' ie alex had hers in the final with beyonce,
to date most of rebecca's performances have been effortless whereas a lot of matts
sound forced,
any flaw or weakness in matt coupled with any 'hairs on neck' performance by rebecca
could well be exaggerated in such a way and to the extent that it could affect the outcome,

granted the 'moment' might take a combination of, a sassy costume, a smash out the park performance of an upbeat song, a bit of dancing and some lesbianism with xtina
but I really dont think it will take as much of a vote swing as is curently predicted

In my view it is cumulative - if Rebecca is 3rd or 4th to perform, with the songs that are widely predicted, she could easily have her 'moment' singing Beautiful with Christina.

In which case a four man 'Standing O' combined with the favourable judges comments could certainly be enough to swing the vote in her favour.

One of these factors on their own is not enough.  Speaking as someone who has backed both but stands to win more on Matt, I think that Rebecca is the 'chosen one'.
