The biggest selling band on the planet and spent half of last year at number one in America.
But it was all for nothing, now they've been rubbished on the betfair Specials forum

I know I'm a bit straight laced when it comes to music but just utter nonsense imo.  I could probably watch Cliff Richard at a push and quietly sing along to myself to most of the tunes but that nonsense?  Not for me thanks just awful.

I think if (at a guess) a bunch of Middle Aged blokes 'get' the Black Eyed Peas, then The Black Eyed Peas are doing something way wrong.
By:
BarnabySpears
When: 06 Dec 10 16:03
Cowell seems to "get" them so they must be way off track.

You'd think so wouldn't you?

Using boring old criteria like melody, lyrics, plausibility, a sense of being taken somewhere new and exciting.

Unfortunately, the template is to raid the back catalogue of some supperannuated rocker, stick a shi1tty drum and bass track over, under and around it to the point where the tune is incidental, whack it up to eleven and jump around a bit, preferebaly in cyber-wh0re chic and dark glasses.

Sit back and wheel home the zlotys, with the added bonus of being lauded and the Kings and Queens of Planet fking 'Now'.

Yeah.

When they were on I said that if my grandparents could come back to life now and see that, they would be f**king terrified.

Probably think the martians had landed.

Barnaby

I've just popped round the shop and was thinking exactly that on the way.  If you could turn it back 50 - 60 years when there was real music waht would people think of that utter Black Eyed Peas nonsense now.  Ridiculous ................ and people buy it and watch their concerts!

Shut the fk up you silly tw@s!

Have you listened to yourselves?

Since when has the criteria for 'real music' been something our grandparents would have liked?

Good music should be something that connect with your soul and makes you feel like you are the only person on the planet who gets it. It's not made with a demographic in mind. It's not made with some pre-packaged, mediocre version of corporate boardroom America's idea of 'rebellion' in mind and it's certainly not made by the Black Eyed Peas.

Not because because we don't get them. Quite the opposite. I get every calculated, cliched, telegraphed move they make.

Will-I-am must be dense.

He seems to rate Cole and Lloyd as serious artists.

Maybe he just wants to sha*g em.

I love Black Eyed Peas music though ... so utterly modern, philosophical and profound.

I actually analyse every lyric of every song seeking the meaning of life and the origin of the Universe.

I was appalled last night by what was going on, The Black Eyed Peas are one of the most un-skilled acts I have ever seen, I fail to understand how these people make money from music I really do. I admit I like my house music and im a bit more underground in terms of my personal tastes but what these people put out is lazy music any chump with a mac laptop could make that beat in fact I could and have produced better music on my phone whilst travelling to work on the train so thats 20 minutes on a iphone with tinny headphones compared to million pound studios.

The fact that people are entertained by such drivel fustrates me further, it seems most people are becoming media muppets happy to go along with whatever the media men ram down there throats. Cowell and his merrymen plugging themselves week in week out is really killing me..rant over.

Sums it up perfectly for me. It's one thing having the urine extracted, but that was simply music, and music lovers being buggered by talentless, cynical, cvnts.

That was payback as Will i am has almost certainly rimmed Cheryl! [;)]

As for the clown saying he cannot understand how these make any money, are you on drugs?  They have the best recent back catalogue of songs of probably any pop act on the planet.  They have a true charisma laden and beautiful and talented lead singer in Fergie.

I actually despair at some of the garbage written on here.

Having said all that I must admit that the song they sung last night was not up to their usual standards but anything related to that horrible film the original track was based on is going to be naff!
