i know he didnt look well and looked a bit clammy but he couldnt even make eye contact with the camera

im not suggesting he was but ive seen mates looking and acting like that after a night on the peruvian marching powder
he couldnt do any eye contact with the viewer and appeared to stagger as he walked off after the 2nd song |

Could I suggest that you imagine you have flu, but you have to get to an important meeting to give a presentation? Take some Day Nurse, a few Anadin and some cough medicine and then look in the mirror.
To even get up and stage and then to do a passable impression of a proper singer makes Matt's performance last night nearly the 'Performance of the Series' in my view. |

I think he was just genuinly quite ill as showed with his much below par performances. A week to get better though for the final.

the only thing that matters is that he is back to his normal self next week.
a week to recover should see him right. last night id say he was on medication Lou...what song do you think he should sing in the final ? my choice would be Bruno Mars " just the way you are " its a positive uplifting feel good tune.. if he nails it he's home and dry.. i can smell the money already  |

He'll probably get to sing two or three songs and yours is a very good choice yes that he did very well weeks ago. I think myself though that 'First Time Ever I Saw your Face' was drop dead brilliant though and went a long way to getting him this far when he did it at an early audition so i hope that's one of his choices. Think he could sing just about anything though as he is real quality. |

If he had real flu then he wouldn't even have the ability to stand up. He was only looking for the sympathy vote to get an easy ride to the final.
