i was, and even better i was there the night before when they were doing the soundchecks. the funniest thing was watching the backing dancers perfect their routine. surprises you how utterly practised every single second was. i was there as a mate of the production company and after the rehearsal all the acts came around and said hello. cant recall it all obviously but the thing i remember was alexandra saying that she was terrified of her mother understanding what the song was about.

The best perfomance of all was in the second Fame Academy .... in the final heat to get onto the main show, in the final performance a young girl from Cornwall stepped out and performed a version of 'Beautiful' that was absolutely stunning.
