Sorry, don't know what happened there...

Is it just my, or is the cynical manipulation of the public vote now getting to the point where it is barely disguised?!

Over the past few weeks we have had Wagner pimped to the max, with only Katie getting later slots.  All these rumours of an internet campaign to keep him in adds to the spice and generates lots of press for the XF machine...

Like last year, the Sun run a story that he has topped the public vote (similar to Jedward last year), which whether true or not (highly unlikely) is then immediately followed by the graveyard slot, two songs and a double elimination.

I have commented before that they were waiting to reintroduce the double elimination as a tool to get rid of Waggy when it suited them - and my guess is this is exactly how it will pan out tonight.

The good performance, positive comments, today's 'shock' headlines in the press all seem to support this theory.  Cowell seemed very relaxed at the prospect of Wagner going through to the final, even winning the show, which seems to indicate that he knows he's got no chance.

I hope anyone who has backed Waggy has the good sense to have got out at the 9s / 8s with a very generous profit as I think his days have to be numbered now.

i think he will survive this week...but considering the last 3 will be matt, rebecca & one d, hes only got another 2 weeks max left anyway...

personally, i hope he makes the last 2,and even wins it,  as the judges have done their utmost to stitch some of the other acts up in previous weeks with their voting...

katies prolonged staying in being the most obvious

NOW does anyone agree with my conspiracy theories?!

Wagner heads vote story + double elimination + first to perform + two songs + bad press morning after = OUT.

Yet again, the GBP are suckered into it by Cowell and co.  Machiavelli had nothing on this lost!
