I honestly think he's won this unless he does a 'Devon Lock' or 'Crisp'. The rest just seem to be not great so he doesn't have a lot to beat for a start. 2nd fav's - the great One D? Rebecca .......... just 7/10 at the very most every week? Not book talking I swear. I'll be very surprised if he doesn't win this.

Honourable runner up to the Malvern princess
imo He's good but unsellable beyond the UK. |

Journeyman you make a very good point about Matt and his selling power beyond the UK. The world would warm to Rebecca far more and if she really belts it out for the next few weeks she is the only credible opposition.

If Rebecca didn't manage to 'belt out' I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For that tells me she has no 'belt out' ability

Yes agreed. Just ok again wasn't it. |

Rowbees - you realise next week is the semi final? We don't have a few more weeks left. Matt was first out of the traps and the field have been playing catch up ever since. Rebecca had a few weeks when it looked like she was closing the gap, but that stalled 3 weeks ago. Any small chance she had relied on Matt messing up last night and her taking things to another level. Neither happened, and I believe that given the time left that Matt's lead is now unassailable.

Matt raised the bar a few notches again last night, and is now pulling away.
when he sang 'nights in white satin' he went from 7-4 to 6-4 to evens. the bookies can see it and even the dogs in the street can see it. initially i was a Rebecca backer but in the last few weeks and last night her 2nd song last night was underwhelming, she has left it too late the only worry now is the wagner camp, but i still think there are enough matt fans out there to ensure wagner doesnt end up the shock winner. if you read the other forums matt is the most popular name that people mention Over the course of the show he has been consistently good, this is important as it separates him from the other contestants Matt will win this because he genuinely is the best performer. |

This would be a mortgage job if there wasn't a very threatening internet Wagner campaign...even my sister is voting for him and she is a politician...
|
|
By:
there's still a "very threatening" elimination tonight that waggy has to get past

true aa. I think Cher and Katie are certs for bottom 2, the only threat to him was Mary and she was awful last night, plus the Irish can't vote unless they use a strange online only voting system.

whatever anyone's book..that would be a fantastic scenario
Cole put on the spot again..and simon trying to work out how to save katie again ![]() |

what odds do you think matt will be on final night ? 1.4 or lower ?
his main danger at this stage is more likely to be wagner rather than any of the others. and if wagner goes tonight then Matt has it in the bag. one must judge contestants on the show as a whole since it started and not just on a single performance. since the auditions Matt has shown he is head and shoulders above the others, and barring a huge comeback from Rebecca or one D i cant see any other winner. last night his 2nd song only confirmed that even more top up now while you still can and double your money |

I agree with your remarks but until we know who he's up against in the final it's hard to price up. He MAY not even get there himself. I think as long as he goes safely thorugh tonight he could well hit 1.80 by tonight. Obviously if One D or Rebecca go then that bit shorter still. |

What makes me laugh some people think matt is not a good singer, for me his performance's are different class.

I think it's only people that have laid him that are saying that. He has a lovely tone to his voice, the range is just incredible and to control the falsetto like he does is very difficuilt. He's a very good singer. |
