I remember Alex won xf the week before the semi, with admittedly a good performance.

Was it in the semi though, where they came back from the ad break, and Cowell, instead of introducing his own bloody act, Eggy of course, could only say he was still 'reeling' or 'blown away' by Alex before the break? Laugh

Tw@t. Cry   I think Turbot had to remind him the little kid still had to sing.

Expect more of this.

And people think he doesn't care who wins?  Laugh  You're right, it's not about the money, it's about his ego.

Might have been. It was far from Alex's best display iirc

Thought this was quite telling.  Obv they haven't worried about limiting girl dancers to stop Wagner's fans getting jealous Plain (or Matt's last weekend).

And the big production as a distraction!

The Wanted have admitted that they have been told to "limit" the number of female dancers they have for their X Factor performance this weekend.

The 'Heart Vacancy' group will perform their third single 'Lose My Mind' on this Sunday's results show - which will also feature performances from Nicole Scherzinger and Justin Bieber.

"We've been told to limit the girl dancers so our fans don't get jealous," Jay McGuiness told the Daily Star. "We're having a big production of a fairground theme to distract from the fact we can't dance very well but can sing live."

He confessed that the fivesome did not expect to land one of the sought-after performance slots.

"It's an absolute honour to be performing on The X Factor," McGuiness said. "When the boyband week came up we were all eyeing it but never really thought we'd get on it."

I remember the comment but not too sure when it was.  As you know I don't take too much into all this 'Cowell ramping' stuff and think it could well have been an innocent honest remark.  Who knows?

I do think though that Alexandra was good every week, really good.  She never put a foot wrong, very good voice, could dance and move around the stage, very attractive (if you like that sort of thing ahem!) and right from week 1 was a real main contender.  I think she won it easily in the end from memory.  One of the best in the five years I've been watching that I've seen.  Right up there with Leona and The Riddler.

The 'treatment' Alexandra got in the final and the kick in the teeth Eoghan got is indisputable, and definitely not innocent.  It was obvious at the time (probably the major topic of conversation on the in-running thread) and apparent to many people, far less cynical than us on here.

*shakes head* surely even you wouldn't be that naive Lou? You think he doesn't care who wins when it could mean millions in money potentially to him?

As you're asking me MY opinion not yours.  MY opinion is I do think he cares who wins IE he surely won't want Wagner to win this year.  MY opinion however is also that he MAY well have just been being honest and said it off the cuff.  Prove me wrong can you?

I know squares - i think I've been on the 'reserve' blocked list before...

Lou - know I can't 'prove' it that's right. Just as I can't prove for certain that Mike Tyson would muller me in a boxing match, until it happened, but I think I'd still be fairly sure....

Ok I'm 'fairly sure' it was an innocent remark.  So what makes you right?

I just told you I would be 'fairly sure' because it is naive to believe that a man like Cowell would have made the comments 'innocently'. If you really need more evidence just go and study him a bit more closely.

We don't ALL know that about him.  It's just certain people on here who say 'Did you see Scowell whispering something there' or 'He must know the voting figures beforehand' 'he looked at Louis in the vote off weirdly' 'I'm sure i see him scratching his knee when the camera quickly showed below the table' etc etc

Apparently he also shot the 'Zapppruder' film in Dallas in 63 and was up in the shoolbook depository building at the same time! Mafia connections, Frank Sinatra, Peter Lawford, Louis Walsh .....................

We know a lot about him Lou (or should if betting on it) - there's plenty of history out there to see.

lou - i wouldn't say this about anyone on here, but you genuinely do deserve to lose your money if you're so utterly naive and stubborn about this.

Ok fair enough we'll beg to differ. Please note my civil response.  hopefully you'll do the same with me over the coming weeks.
