Matt Cardle has revealed that he has a feeling Wagner Carrilho will win this year's X Factor.

Cardle - who has previously expressed his dismay at Carrilho's progress on the show - again questioned the Brazilian's place in the competition as he made his prediction.

Cardle said: "It would be fun to win, I'd like that - but I have a really terrible feeling that bloody Wagner is going to win now. It is a joke."

According to The Sun, Cardle made the comments at a London record store while promoting the X Factor finalists' charity single 'Heroes', but was soon instructed by show staff to stop talking.

The 27-year-old had previously promised that he would "shut the hell up" following a string of comments about Carrilho. Insiders admit that the singer is worried his remarks could have affected his chances.

"Matt thinks he has blown it," a source said. "He was loved by everyone but this spat with Wagner has turned fans against him. He knows he should keep his mouth shut but finds it infuriating that somebody who is tone deaf is still on the show."

Cardle recently confirmed that he had an angry confrontation with Carrilho during last week's rehearsals.

That's from the Sun about comments he made, the most recent being at the charity CD signing on Wednesday. However yesterday, since then, he apologised and said he'd gone too far, also reported by the Sun - different journo.

The Sun is a joke but the comments after the articles are useful if there are enough of them.

Yeah, I know about the apologies.  I posted them on FLL's thread yesterday before you started your thread.
