I have averaged out the running order places over the last 6 weeks, to see who has been getting the best draw. The lower the number the earlier the spot in the running order:

Paije Richardson    4.50
Rebecca Ferguson    5.67
Cher Lloyd    5.67
Mary Byrne    6.33
Matt Cardle    6.67
Katie Waissel    8.17
One Direction    8.50
Wagner    9.33

Of course this is not ideal because someone last on in week one would have a number 16 where as last on last week would have a number 9. Therefore I have pro-rated the rating so every week 16 is the number of places and the maximum. The table is now:

Paije Richardson    5.86
Cher Lloyd    7.72
Mary Byrne    7.75
Rebecca Ferguson    8.09
Matt Cardle    9.18
Katie Waissel    10.60
One Direction    11.72
Wagner    12.32

So in conclusion Cowell hates Wagner Laugh

Can anyone recall previous years being so stage managed? I mean, it always has been but this year is taking it to a new level. Paije in particular has been ridiculously treated whilst Katie has always been given good spots.

There used to be a semblence of pattern/fairness.
Report Crisp77 November 17, 2010 9:10 PM GMT
Not any more. Those who generate press and those who are likely to generate the most money go on last, so it seems.

Nice work crisp.

Paije surely due a late spot this week or will it be demmed too obvious and unfair.  I think he'll be one of the last couple this week.

deemed sorry.

Paije must be given later slot Saturday or it will come across as verging on bulying/victimisation. Wagner seems to get later slots part out of expectation but mostly because those dancers are a direct throwback to saturday night variety shows golden age.

Apart from the obvious attempts to keep Wagner and Katie in for the controversy / ratings value, the only other view to take from this is that One D may well be struggling in the vote.

(and that Paije, with Cowell-backing, could probably be a semi-finalist)

Interesting that Becca hasn't had particularly late slots so far - just in time to give her the late slots later in the comp. [;)]

I wonder if Wagner has to be on after 9pm due the nature of his dsncers? Shocked
Report Asparagus Man November 19, 2010 1:59 PM GMT
Genuine LOL at Horse - I almost blocked him the other day, but if he keeps coming up with gems like that....

He's a complete to$$er but it makes us smile I suppose!

I have placed a very small bet on page @ 150 for the below reasons and because he can nail Let it be.

If he takes notice of this and builds it up with some belting welly his price could crash.

If later he gets to do this you will be kicking yourself for not taking 150.

Bottom two this week...Paige and Cher Confused
Report Fallen Angel November 21, 2010 9:30 PM GMT
So from this we could conclude that Mary is likely to be in trouble next week. I suppose it will start to make less difference as views become more entrenched. Still there might be some miles in this yet. Good work though Crisp, some very interesting information.

katie proves again the importance of the pimp spot.
Report Dizzy42 November 21, 2010 10:52 PM GMT
Absolutely.  Surely she's a shoo-in for the bottom two next week with two songs to sing and therefore limited impact of running order?  Wagner likewise...

The only saving grace for me this week was backing Katie to be first announced safe at 7/1 with Laddies...  Not normally a market I would touch, but the manipulation this week was outrageous, even by XF standards!
Report George Bailey November 21, 2010 11:15 PM GMT
Yeah less is more with wagner. If the anti cowell RATM thing has legs maybe the running order won't matter. Agree katie gets lost in the mix next week.
Report Cider November 21, 2010 11:21 PM GMT
Scraping through middle weeks has nothing to do with the OR of course.
Betfair doesn't have enough figures to price up Waggy's true chance of commanding 9 million+ votes.
Report onthehushhush November 21, 2010 11:24 PM GMT
cider if they put you and me in a boyband we'd have a better chance of winning this than wagner.
Report George Bailey November 21, 2010 11:27 PM GMT
Agree he can't win (barring a real miracle) but he's already paid for Christmas for many of us and he may just have one more trick in the tail next week.
