on Xtra Factor tonight, talking about the results, Cowell said "there were plenty of surprises tonight, not just in the bottom two". Anyone want to guess what he meant? Matt being in fourth place? Cher 0.1% above the B2? Wagner outpolling Rebecca?
I'll stop now.

Wagner outpolling the rest of them combined with a magnificent 57.4% of the vote (NAP)

It wouldn't surprise me if Cher was close to B2.
Much like Aiden she appeals to people who don't watch the show or the type of viewer who would never vote.

Wagner above Rebecca? I'd cry Cry

Cowell will give it away next week with his comments.  If not him louis will. Didn't see that bit of xtra factor so are you sure that's a direct quote and is there any other interpretation other than voting figures?

I'm just watching now.

Nothing yet from Cowell, but some classic quotes from Waggy.

He's praying for those who boo him and he's like a rock and the haters are the waves that break on him Laugh

I've just seen the quote.
He does appear to be implying that there were other shocks in the vote.
Maybe just Paije and Wagner surviving the B2, or maybe more....

Think next weeks running order will give some more clues, if Im honest scenario 2 cher would be my bet.

Cowell has lessened his ambition for 1D again.
He said he'll do everything in his power to get them to the final. No mention of them winning and talk of a 'wake up call' tonight.

Maybe they didn't poll too well?

Could be that fll Simon with the show has lost credibility this series, though he remains a great manipulator and can take votes from acts with what he says his power of adding votes is diminishing with each week. Matt was his blocker this week I dont think he can take that chance with 1 direction.

Wouldn't surprise me as can't see why they would get the mums vote. Nor Cher to be honest.  Cher would have to have a Stay moment every week and reinvent herself to get the cross over appeal she needs.

I'm a bit confused with Cher and her own potential as well as potential to widen her vote. Could easily be another aiden.

One Direction all near the bottom on popularity polls ive seen, should think they were close to B2.

Cher and Matt miles ahead, with Rebecca closing very slowly.

So why are they so short in the market then???

So why are they so short in the market then???

I'm not sure that being short in the market is necessarily representative of someone's popularity.  With 1D, I suspect it's Cowell's blatant ramping that is causing their price to shorten.  I've not seen them doing that well in the polls either tbh.

But he's ramped them since the start and that didn't stop them from drifting.
Report Mikeeey November 15, 2010 9:48 AM GMT
Yes that's true.  But now he's gone and said he thinks a group will win.  I'm not sure what effect his comments are having on the market but I find it hard to believe this shower of sh!t are that popular - I might be wrong though!
