In the above scenario deadlock will almost certainly result if Louis does not save Katie.

However, if he saved her last week when she could not have performed any worse in the sing off its going to be very hard for him to do anything different this week.

He'll just do as he's told, he long ago lost any credibility.

However I doubt if Cowell would want the backlash against the program of saving Katie again, over a better singer.

Louis will do what Simon says or he will be removed from the building

If Katie is voted out this week based on her average singing would it not show a total lack of consistency as she was saved despite her singing last week.

the real question is who would they want on the tour in spring, as that line-up is decided tonight ... who's not been in the papers??

If Katie is voted out this week based on her average singing would it not show a total lack of consistency as she was saved despite her singing last week.

So by that argument she should be saved all the way up to the final.

Joker Cowell's claim was he was saving who he thought the public wanted to see again. He could hardly claim that if she is b2 again. Surely if they really want her on the tour they can make it happen.

Katie v Paije = Paije gone ... as simple as !!

Two girl judges votes irrelevant, Simon voted Katie over Treyc last week cos he said she was a more interesting act and Louis also chose Katie, for them to vote Paije ahead of Katie would be like them saying Paije was a better act than Treyc. Louis slated Paije rotten last night and they put him up first to be the lamb to the slaughter

He wasn't really slating Paije personally though.  He was slating what "they" had done with him - the song, the production, the image, etc.  Louis championed Paije from the start and has always called him a soul boy, but he hasn't been given anything remotely like that over the past few live shows and has been turned into a bit of a fat camp fun character.

If Paije is in the sing off and has been allowed to choose something more up his street, he could do an amazing job.  If he has been given another cheesefest that he's not comfortable with, he'll/we'll know his fate.

Paige beats Katie 3-1 imho

Just think it will be hard for Louis not to save Katie again if she was up against Paige given his reasons last week and the fact that Katie could hardly sing as bad this week as she did last week when he saved her.

I think if Louis does vote to save Katie, under orders from Cowell, he will have asked to vote third this week after the two girls save their own acts so he is not seen as the one with the decisive vote.

Grendel - you must have been watching a different show to me last night!  Louis slated Katie much worse than Paije.  He's been pretty supportive of Paije so far - to save Katie over Paije would be hypocritical.

I agree that the producers / Cowell want to keep Katie in, for the tour etc.  But to save her a fourth time would be beyond farcical - the show would lose whatever (limited) credibility it has left.

Besides which, I genuinely think that Louis is a bit more independently minded and will vote honestly as he sees it.  Katie's had her chance - and deadlock would be enough to see her go.
