I'll try to be as fair as ever with marks out of 10:
PAIJE: I've liked him from the start without him being brilliant. He's got gradually better but last night gone backwards again. Not a great song up against so many classic Elton's he could have done. Did just ok and could be in trouble. 6
AIDEN: Good again. Good song choice and he put it over well. Still not good enough to win it for me but a decent effort, goos looks, nice lad and safely through. Well done. 7
MARY: Much better than last week. We're all probably a bit unfair with her I feel. She comes on, belts out a good song - what more can she do. Not the winner but I would say safely through. 7
KATIE: I've said from the very start she's the weakest of all the girls and she shows it week after week. TreyC absolutely miles better and so unfair she's still not in it. Shouting parts, she's just not a good singer. Poor, trouble beckons. 5
MATT: Did well again. Not as good as last week which was hard to follow obviously but he put a difficuilt song to sing over very well. The one to beat full stop. 7.5
CHER: So frustrating. This girl can definately sing as she proved 2 weeks ago. Why she puts in all the rap nonsense I just don't know. If she stuck to singing decent popular tunes she'd be in with a real shout. I want to give her 7 but the rap dilutes it. 6
WAGNER: Got to be fair (you lot should try it sometime) I thought that was hist best effort. Still tailed off at the back but in tune for most of it. 5
ONE D: I gave up on these last week having left them onside and laid them. Think they've been average every week but this was their best. A 2 man team with the others making up the numbers however but much more like it. 6.5
REBECCA: I think she's missed a trick here. Final spot, Elton's big song and she didn't make me go 'wow'. Cher did 2 weeks ago, Matt did last week but she just never done it. Good efort don't get me wrong. She looked lovely, comes across as a real nice girl and you can't not like her but just not 'great'. 7
Given their nature can opinions ever really be dishonest? I thought Matt was all over the place last night vocally. In his way he's as uncomfortable outside his comfort zone as mary ie if he has to sing anything other than a "woman's" song.
Just my opinion of course [;)]

KATIE: she can sing but too much a drama queen - 6
MATT: he's good at what he does but very boring - 7
CHER: I like her and think she has hidden talent - 6
WAGNER: getting boring now - 5
ONE D: even worse than Waggy so have to rely on SC hype - 3
REBECCA: not as good as I was expecting tbh but the best on the night - 7
just my honest opinions

If she did a real good perforance I'd admit it I really would. I'll give you an instance. I'm a big Man Utd fan. I watched tem yesterday against Villa. Do I pretend they were unlucky to just get a draw? No I'd be HONEST and say if anything they were lucky to get a draw and I'm more than happy with a point.
May I ask you Denman .............. I'm sure you'll be honest. Do you think that was her big chance last night, what with the last spot of the night and Elton's biggest song perhaps and yet she never quite was great? I honestly think she wasn't. Did well like I said but not 'wow'. Sorry. I'll be interested to hear your views.

I don't need my ears tested or my head. I'm giving MY view of last night's show and I thought Aiden did well. Gun at my head I'd say Rebecca the better of the two but nothing in it. Hope you don't mind me disagreeing with you.

I think opinions can be dishonest yes of course. Chelsea beat Torquay Utd 10-0 and the Torquay fan says "I thought we were unlucky today" His honest opinion or just downright lying in his teams favour?

hmm, think there's a fair bit of dross being spoken...
paige: ludicrous performance, out of key, dressed in andy pandy's wardrobe again. has to be in big trouble 3/10
aidan: his performances are so samey they are becoming boring; his facial histrionics and his out of key singing are becoming more than just irritants. i salute him for trying new arrangements but not long left for him 4/10
mary: had a chance with an emotional song but a couple of bizarre cabaret moments ruined it completely. hard to see now what the fuss was about. appears wholly out of her depth. 4/10
katie: pretty unremarkable performance from a girl who basically has a nice voice for ballads but little else. saved 3 times and hard to see her making it 4. 4/10
matt: an almost impossible song to sing but matt pulled it off well, though looked a little uncomfortable on stage. by far his most assured performance came when he was sitting with a guitar singing acoustically (to a point). same again with something like creep would be in order. 8/10
cher: little **** of a a girl who i am desperate not to win, and I'm pretty confident that this elton mash up proves she is a one trick pony who crucially doesnt sing well enough or rap well enough to make anything other than the mash up viable....5/10
vagner: still think he has not been giving one song that is anywhere near suiting his voice and for that i feel sorry for him. also, clifford is out to get him too, which makes me sympathise. patently nowhere near good enougn to be in the final 12, but not the worst entertainment in the world 4/10
one direction: simon pulled out the joker a few weeks earlier than i had hoped or predicted - a ballad sing by liam and harry, and the effect was enormous, causing a plunge in the market from 6.2 to 4.5. still maintain simon wants them to win, a powerful ally, and having gone a little negative on their chances a fortnight ago, largely due to the ridiculous asian kid, i now think they have every chance of winning. all depends if this momentum can become a surge for victory. 9/10
rebecca: everything was in her favour here, the pimp slot, an amazing tune loved my millions etc etc, and yet, although she sung it beautifully, it just slightly left me cold. despite the judges' eulogising, i expected slightly better and there have been no shivers down spine moments. prob the one that would give most credibility to the show as winner but can the judge's get her over the line. can she get enough votes. doubtful imo. 8/10

I didnt like the song to be honest Lou,i was a bit worried beforehand but i thought she was great, for me the best of the night, not a wow performance i will give you that but she doesnt need one yet,it will come.

You've been fair and honest that's all I ask so thanks for that. I think it's a great song form the original version rather than knowing it through Diana's loss. Like I said she was good but just not 'bang what do you think of that' type of thing. I know it's about the singing and I'm top of the list for wanting that but every single week she just stands there, barely moves at all and sings a slow ballad. One of the judges knocked Treyc a couple of weeks ago for having different styles. I thought that was ridiculous. If you went to a show/gig wouldn't you expect some uptembo catchy foottapping numbers and some nice ballads so what was wrong with Treyc?
You're a fella from the place who produced the best band ever. I love The Beatles. I went to see McCartney last year in London at the 02 and as much as I loved 'Can't buy me Love' 'I Saw her standing There' and 'Back in The USSR' I also loved 'Yesterday' 'My Love' and 'The Long and Winding Rd'. The crowd went mad when he did 'Obla Di Obla Da'! Isn't it about a bit of everything is what I'm trying to say. I'm not trying to ramp Matt he doesn't need it but if I were a Rebecca backer I honestly would be a bit concerned over her 'samey' approach every week. What do you think?

Lou,if you watch her video diaries she has bee considering doing something completely different and i think she may well do soon,i can see her blasting out an Aretha Franklin or similar, dont expect a big dance number thou.

I think that would be a great move for her as she's just not kncking people's socks off at the moment so perhaps proving she can do somethine else will do the trick. Going nowhere tonight though I think we can agree that!

Nick - I would agree that they have a chance, but that would be more down to the blatant ramping from Cowell and not their performance. I thought they were complete and utter sh!t - but only my opinion

mikey i think they have a cracking chance, honestly. just think mstt and rebecca may have peaked too soon
I think it likely that neither of them have peaked.

Generally i thought last night was the worst standard yet in the whole series with mostly safe and forgettable performances.
Cowells glowing comments on Katie were ridiculous. Louis was spot with his verdict on her performance but then was told to watch mind his place by Cowell or he would be out of a job.

Yes Cowell grossly unfair with Louis. I like Louis and I think he generally tells it as it is. We can't all agree obviously but I think all in all he's pretty fair so I'd love to see him put Cowell in his place and tell him to fcuk off! I know he can't because he'd be walking away from the biggest show on telly but Cowell does unfairly belittle him I feel.
