Can I ask you something - all bets aside and ask you something which I'll trust upfront that you'll answer truthfully.

I have backed Matt from the start and think he's in with a good chance of winning.  I can however see that Rebecca is a concern as although I'm not personally quite so struck on her she's obviously a decent singer, nice girl, sweet nature, is a very close second favourite and looks good too.  My question is that you seem to do nothing but 'talk down' Matt.  You must if you're honest be concerned that he's right in there with a chance, has been favourite from the start, seems to be clearly leading all the polls we see and is a fine singer.  Can you admit that?

Also what difference that he's a butcher, baker, candlestic maker?  Whether someone's from a council flat in a tough city area or they're father's got billions and Matt's got his own yacht, half a dozen Ferrari's and his own personal jet.  It's a singing competition where they go on there every week to SING.  Do you really honestly think it makes a difference that he went to a decent school and comes from a nice home.

Please answer my questions as honestly as possible as I would yours.

You remind me of a typical biased football fan.  Let me give you an analogy:

You're a big Chelsea fan (just go with it please) and I love Man Utd (which i do).  I'm willing to admit that Chelsea are a terriffic team, I wished we had Drogba in our team, John Terry's hard to get past, Essien's a great midfield player and on the whole they are a great team and there's surely no point me denying that.

However when I ask you about Man Utd you seem to say Paul Scholes? awful,  Rooney, Berbatov and Nani upfront? I've seen bettere players in my Sunday pub team league.   Vidic? Worst defender in the whole of the premiership. Etc Etc

So you HONESTLY think Matt is tone deaf?  You'll come across really stupid if you say that as regarless of who our favourites are they can all sing in tune apart from Wagner and Matt is surely nearer the top of the singers than the bottom.  Are you sticking by your statement by saying he is tone deaf?

I thought this summed up Rebecca quite well.  It's a posting off of DS that I just saw. 

Rebecca has stayed well within her comfort zone every week. She has just stood by the microphone and sung her chosen song. To be honest, I can barely remember the numbers she has performed - just a couple of the outfits.

I think her lack of variety and stage presence is why people are saying they are bored - nothing to do with the rest of it.

Other acts are attacked because they don't take risks and stick to what they know. Rebecca has not had that levelled at her - which is rather odd.

The voice is reasonable (but relies too heavily on vibrato for my liking) - but I can't see her selling out massive concert venues. She needs to learn how to perform a song - not just stand at a mic and sing it.
