I dunno to be honest.  Good song, good decent singer won't go far wrong IMO

If Lou is saying that it must be good.

I was looking a what songs might be picked for the front runners (hmmm a touch sad!) in any case I decided I wouldn't want Candle In The Wind for Matt.

-It's a very flat song, without the emotional connection we all know about.
-It takes a bit of performing.
-The piano plays a big part of the song of the performance most viewers will associate it to (as with many ej tracks)

I don't work in production obv but seems to me this will be a difficult one to pull off effectively.

I think Cider has a good point there.  It is a very piano driven song which although it will obviously be on the track you will miss the pianist (Elton) playing it.  It is a great song though, you can hardly call her a bad singer so I'm sure she'll be fine.  Without hearing it yet perhaps not a 'wow' moment though.

crab

I think you're being a touch unfair there!  It is a great song surely and she can sing it well so no problems at all.  She's do the final slot too so could do very well tonight.  Just being fair.

NXRBL is right.  A piano driven song?  The excuses are getting worse.
