OF COURSE IT WAS PLANNED ARE YOU STUPID? THIS IS OLD NEWS MY FRIEND
By:
HorsePlacing150 - I realise this is old news to you but I was posting it for the benefit of my fellow clueless mugs
By:
Guess we won't be seeing Dermot on our screens next year...
By:
really interesting as it was obviously what happened, but surely dermot has made an enormous mistake in confirming it....might have a future impact...
By:
WILL ONLY HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE SHOW AND THE RATINGS. DON'T YOU REALISE YOU CLUELESS MUGS THAT STORY WAS RELEASED MY THE SIMON COWELL X FACTOR MEDIA MACHINE ????
By:
I still doubt this 3x the vote thing.

Daily Star...Olly Defends Cheryl's decision. Bet he was a kiss ass to the school teacher's too. Guess he didn't think it was ****.

fixed

By:
not 100 per cent sure this reads like a clifford story, it's actually an embarrassment and makes it v difficult for them to get katie through to the tour

Donut O'Leary says sats decision was planned duing the ad break and a stand-off between him and Cheryl was agreed in advance.
ERM...NO HE DIDNT SAY THAT. |
By:
'We thought it might happen before the break when we found out who was in the bottom two,’ he said.
'We decided if she wasn’t going to vote, we would go to the majority verdict.’ Is what he says, according to the Mail at least Can't believe all this hand wringing over someone as dull as Tracy. There was less noise about Lucie |
By:
All the sing-off decisions are planned?
Glad there are a few people here that are surprised. |
By:
the only thing planned was a majority verdict if cherl would not vote, nothing wrong with that
By:
no - they planned going to cheryl second because if they had gone to her last she would have had to take it to deadlock and katie would have lost, we all know it happens, but surprised they would let it out...
By:
exactly...nothing about agreeing a stand off with Cheryl which was the only part of it that resembled a story.
what theyve actually revealed in their exclusive is just a repetition of what we all saw on Sunday night. |
By:
okay so O'Leary didn't actually use the word “planned”, but he does confirm that the show isn't spontaneous as some may think, which I know isn't exactly breaking news. As for the stand-off bit, I was just repeating a line from the Mail that said: `he disclosed a dramatic stand-off between him and Miss Cole was agreed in advance`
Apologies to those that were expecting something more exciting! |
By:
a lot of this is backwards
if they know katie is bottom and they know cherl will take it to deadlock(god forbid cherl having to look bad sending someone home) if asked last making sure katie goes home, it would have been a fix going to cherl last better to let the judges decide the outcome as per the rules it is less bent the way they did it ![]() |
By:
This just isn't news really is it.
So the producers of a live TV show decide to make it more exciting to the viewer and have a contingency plan to deal with the consequences? Just doing their job really. |
By:
Spot on Asparagus.
I dont see how what Dermot has said is anything contraversial in the slightest. The producers did exactly what I would have done. Made CC make a real decision by going to her 1st or 2nd then coming up with a proper contingency plan in case she didnt vote. |
By:
With the decision at 2-1 to send Treyc Cohen home, Cheryl then desperately tried to level it at 2-2.
But Dermot enraged viewers by ignoring her - meaning she had no say at all. The Sun even have the audacity to make up sh1te when 17 million people are watching and know that's not what happened. |
By:
Cheryl then desperately tried to level it at 2-2. |
By:
....didn't notice her getting dragged offstage....
By:
Nor me
![]() Surely people should be up in arms over national newspapers printing blatant lies, rather than one not very popular contestant that not many people could be arsed to vote for, being voted off a light entertainment show over another not very popular contestant that not many people could be arsed to vote for. Madness. |
By:
figgy they print blatant lives everyday its a sad fact of life.It wont harm the waggie backers thou REBEL AGAINST THE SIMON COWELL MACHINE.....

By:
'We thought it might happen before the break when we found out who was in the bottom two,’ he said.
'We decided if she wasn’t going to vote, we would go to the majority verdict.’ ....so they guessed it was possible she wouldn't vote, and made sure they knew what they would do incase she didn't. Amazing news story. Total fix. /sarcasm |
By:
Indeed.
It's a sad state of affairs when the likes of Murdoch has degraded our national press to such an extent that people just shrug and accept that the press print BS, while at the same time getting hot under collar over this non story. |
By:
dermot =P45
![]() ![]() |
By:
Why would Dermot get fired for this?
all he's said is:a) The producers tell him which judge to ask next b) They put plans in place incase Cheryl opted out c) The producers don't know which way the judges will vote What the fek has he done wrong? ![]() |
By:
Nothing jack, but poor Treyc has had her dreams shattered (though she seems fine about it),..and some mugs on here have done their cash, so someone must be to blame.
Questions in the house next ;) |
By:
Dermot might get a pay rise for this...as Cowell would say - absolutely brilliant
By:
Okay..so heres why it was so wrong....Katie recieved the least votes out of everyone...cheryl said "let the others decide & i will take it too deadlock"., therefore not having to send someone home..Public vote then gets Katie the boot..BUT!!!! Dermot never went back to Cheryl so the Katie Backers do there dough & they actually backed a winner..u get me..so its not allright..I suugest betting on these events is stopped as its sooooooooooo BENT!!!
The overall outcome of what happened dont matter a jot cus neither of them can win..I can tell u now that Rebecca , Matt , & One Direction will all release something..Possibly Cher Will..But Cowell dont care who wins..he just does what he wants with who he wants. Its a great concept ..these people sing for free , he gets all the cash, & if the public likes em he flogs there records...Wagner is this years Jedward..Cowell likes to have at least 1 joke act in the show to make it more watchable , & being front page for controversy is just what he wants!!! |
By:
I was under the illusion that the sing-off exists so that the prods can save anyone they want, therefore taking the decision out of the voting public's hands

I wonder what the big shock story will be next week.
They are masters at getting a non story onto the front pages every week. |
