My opinions of last night's show

I've just watched it and as ever I'll try to be as fair and honest as possible with marks out of 10:

PAIJE:  I've said all along this guy can do better and he finally has.  Sang a good song well with no gimmicks.  Well done.  7

JOHN: The star for me last week but average this week.  The vocals wavered but he got better.  Very nice bloke it seems but you need more than that to win the X Factor.  6

REBECCA: I think slightly better than her previous two weeks.  I didn't know the song so not the ideal choice for me but she sang it well.  A nice girl but once again she never moved hardly.  7

CHER:  Once again the rapping spoilt it for me with all the attitude.  I wish she'd just stand there and sing us a nice song for a change which I think she could.  I think she's just not likeable but is a performer I'll give her that.  6

MATT:  The star of the night at last.  Not my ideal song choice (Britney!) but sat there with a guitar and sang it very well.  He's very likeable too and is obviously talented.  I've said all along the one to beat and nothing's changed.  His best week so far.  8

ONE D:  Firstly I didn't know the song and whilst the lead singer sang well the others are just making up the numbers with the Indian lad again awful.  I thought they looked a bit amateurish and if it wasn't for the young girls voting they could be out very soon.  Not good.  5.5

TREYC: She put on a performance unlike Rebecca but I thought the production was a bit overdone.  She's a good singer but I've said before I think she shouts a little bit.  6.5

MARY:  We all love Mary and there's no doubt she can sing very well.  She's been good every week but will have to do something different.  It's almost as if she's sang the same song every week.  Rooted to the spot again.  7

AIDEN:  Better than last week but still wobbled in parts a little.  He's very good looking and I'm sure he's getting a lot of the young girls vote.  Great Shirley Bassey song that he did well.  Dark horse.  7

BEL AMIE:  Thought they looked good and did a good song.  the blonde seems just along for the ride though which might not be for much longer.  Just ok.  6

WAGNER:  He's very likeable and he makes us all smile but come on! He's pure novelty and I thought last night was his worst.  Dreadful.  3

KATIE:  I'm sure we were all singing and whistling along to this catchy tune.  I thought she looked good, almost a bit Marilyn Monroeesque but I think she's not that great a singer at all and is the weakest of the girls.  6
