acoiustic version my aas. had the full background track playing with him woukld have rated it with just him and his guitar. that wont work in the real world. strangely enough my fav tonight was chers performance who i definitely havent liked so far more of the same and shes a big player

they said it was an acoustic version . he sang well and that but an acoustic version doesnt have the backing track in background
He's a class act. Seriously versatile performances and more to come I hope. Think he can do better still. Just waiting for a Boot Camp/Judges House performance, but guess that's being saved for the later stages when he crashes to 1.5.
can he dance? seemed to mime playing the guitar in parts seriously what was the need for the backing track after claiming to do acoustic version. whats he gonna do wen he goes on radio 1 live lounge say excuse me fern can you play the track in the background please?
in reality it was 50/50. the first half was accoustic and the second half was with backing track. his earpiece was a clicktrack to make sure the backing track kicked in at the right time ie he wasnt playing the first half too slowly.
the reality is that it worked perfectly as saturday night entertainment
the big clue is Cowell's production team gave it the full works.

What was also interesting was some of the other contestants backing performances eg drums, pianos etc. He was giving the drums some welly, and I was unsure as to whether they would produce a backing track without drums or piano etc.

Oh I see. Didn't notice but doubt the drummer was playing. Probably kit wasn't mic'd up for a star
