He always sings early, gets crap songs and is generally regarded as 'bottom three/two' fodder.

That said he hasn't been in the bottom three yet! So can he survive the bottom two tomorrow?

JLS are tweeting about him like crazy - they have a 175,000 followers - a lot of which will be X Factor fans.

Could that be enough to keep him above Paige, Bellamy and Wagner? I'm not sure.

If he's in the bottom two with anyone other than Wagner, he's gone.

I think Bellamy would beat him in a sing off because the judges aren't going to get rid of another Cowell act, leaving him with one!

I think betting on Bellamy to go next would be an awful bet. I think John's time is sadly up - much as i actually like him.

He chose last week's song himself of course, and was fvcking brilliant

If by some miracle he survives this week he should never let Louis choose his song again

I think he survives. Genuine talent vote + sympathy vote should be enough Cool

But if he's in the bottom two - he's gone? Agreed? Shall i put a grand on him to go? I'd love him to stay tho.

all the darkies stitched up tonight

He's actually getting a lot of mentions on Xtra Factor - which is a first. His name has never been mentioned before tonight. Can he survive?

Cheryl did the running order [;)]

Don't agree at all nba

He's well capable of a performance that would make the judges look ridiculous if they sent him home
Report Angela Rebecchi October 23, 2010 10:59 PM BST
Johns been getting a lot of coverage on Xtra Factor, far from a dead cert even if he is bottom 2.
Report Mikeeey October 23, 2010 11:01 PM BST
hardly anyone watchig Xtra Factor though - they're all watching Piers Moron talking to Tweedy
Report noveltybettingaddict October 23, 2010 11:02 PM BST
I agree Angela - we must have typed that at the same time!

And george brush - you make a good point about him outsigning Bellamy in a potential sing off - but we've had disgraceful judges' decisions before.

One week they decided to judge it on the sing off performance, the next they go on 'potential'. If Bellamy faced john in sing-off, it doesn't matter how well John sings. They will twist it to keep the group.

And lets face it, kicking John out wouldn't get the same reaction as the Laura White decision did.

If anyone fancies laying me 9s on Paije for a tidy sum then I will accomodate, or even 8s. Fancy a punt on him. Really like him myself so would be nice to win a bit if he does go.
Report noveltybettingaddict October 23, 2010 11:07 PM BST
Who would go in Paije v John?

They could both produce great vocals in the sing off. It's the kind of sing off they would go to deadlock. Then it is a lottery.

Just making the point that it's far from a bank job nba
Report noveltybettingaddict October 23, 2010 11:17 PM BST
I agree, it's not a bank job. And you've made me question whether i should put big money on it. I don't think his odds will get much shorter (if at all) by 6pm tomorrow when i'll make my final decision. You've given me food for thought.

I just think he needs to be in with Wagner to be saved and Paije to get to deadlock - in which he would at least have a chance. Anyone else, he's gone.

But as Angela said, he is sparking debate on Xtra Factor. Not all good - but any publicity is good publicity!

John performing weak again on Digital Spy poll - but he's been right near the bottom of that every bloody week and survived.

I think we established in previous weeks that a lot of John's vote (old people) don't use the internet!!

Someone always has a snowball nba

And unfortunately I don't mean Bellamy [;)]
Report GeorgeBrush October 23, 2010 11:24 PM BST
Could be a few sympathy votes around I guess

Paije and Treyc would seem the most forgettable this evening

Forgettable is never good

Maybe the dancers therefore were exactly what John needed - to get people talking about him.

If he goes, we blame the dancers. If he stays, we thank the dancers!

Paije and John looked like sacrificial lambs to me tonight...  John has been totally undersold in this competition, but they're still not getting behind him at all.  Definite contender for bottom three.

John is a good singer, is likeable and should survive but he needs to lose the minstrel image. I would love to see him do well.
Report GeorgeBrush October 24, 2010 12:02 AM BST
minstrel image Laugh

He needs to white up
Report Larry_Larry October 24, 2010 12:07 AM BST
That's not what I mean. The way they are portraying him I wouldn't be surprised to see him come out some night in red and white stripes. a top hat, and cane.
