the categories they have bear no resemblance to the songs chose most weeks.last week we had musical heroes week wher it was quite clearly just the judges choice of songs, and this week we have guilty pleasures week where i would have to question how many of the rumoured songs are really "guilty pleasures"
would be a much better competition if the acts were allowed to choose their own songs.

can't have the acts choosing their own songs. Whatever next, they'll want to choose what they wear too.

I think it's clear that the loose themes this year are just another layer of manipulation - give the favoured acts good songs that will suit, and throw the others under a bus.
If there were no theme weeks at all, the exact same thing would happen as well. I'm starting to think I prefer the more restrictive theme weeks because of this. |
