Why do the judges use the above words to describe the performances of most of the contestants in the X FACTOR when clearly most of them wont be heared of this time next year, with the exception of Matt Cardle . lETS BE HONEST how many of you out there would buy a record of most of the contestants in this show,

ROMAN im suggesting the only winners from x factor are itv, simon cowel, and KLEENEX// having said that i admit to having a bet on matt 2weeks ago at 5/1 and when i heared that ireland could have a vote i backed proud mary at 33/1 e/w with laddies, mary is louis ONLY chance of going into DECEMBER so i will be very happy if she makes the 1st 3.i have to go now and watch the highlights of big brother 11.[smiley:crazy]

Its all relative - they're being judged relatively that's all. They're all relatively weak - including Cardie.
As for the judges hyperbole well they're selling TV shows. |

Matts been on the go for years releasing his vids on the net.But no one has ever took notice.
He has his hat on in all of them to hide his clumps and patches on his head. |

HYPERBOLE //an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally, as “to wait an eternity ,SEEMS ABOUT RIGHT STU, but not so sure the contestants see it like that when there back singing in the pubs next year.

Oh yeh, the ethics of shows like this that raise and dash young (and older) peoples dreams is a different question!
