Why do so many people hate her - she clearly is very talented and original. The views she gets for her performances are remarkable and she has almost 1 million fans on Facebook. (Cardle has a few thousand) It would be quite a dull X Factor without her this year, I for one am all aboard.

She is clearly one of those 'marmite' contestants. If the viewers were voting to evict (like in Big Brother) then I have no doubt she would be out pretty quick. She obviously has enough supporters voting to keep her in - for now.
I don't find her talented, original, current or relevant. But that's only my opinion of course. Others might think she's a genius! |

For 16yo she's extremely brave and I must agree she is the one solo act that I look forward to each week. Belle Amie I think are fantastic considering how long they have been working together and One Direction similar. Those three should reach the final imo.

She's had a Vickers style rise of popularity and then the haters taking hold - but it's happened noticably earlier in the contest for Cher than Vickers.
Will be interesting to see if the negativity burns itself out and she can start an upwards trend in popularity again. Good bet at the price imo. |

I don't remember anyone saying Vickers was an awful singer - but then, I can't remember what happened last week!!
What a good singer is, is purely subjective. I thought Vickers' quirky style of singing was good. I'm struggling to find anything likeable at all with Cher. But I do like the fact we all have differing opinons on here. |

I thought Vickers was awful. Sang flat for parts of every song and just got by on her looks, sweet nice girl thing alone IMO. Cher easily the better of the two ..... she can sing! |

Exactly Lou, both Vickers and Cher are marmite characters, and both provoke a strong reaction. Cher would be doomed if this backlash had started a few weeks later, but as it is there's plenty of time for this story to evolve further.
Should be interesting to watch. |
