Musical Heroes week so I'm guessing Katie will be singing the Gary Glitter classic "I'm the Leader of the Gang", with her being the spawn of Satan and all. Rumour has it she'll be accompanied on stage by 20 terrified Vietnamese children during her performance.

I haven't checked DS. Very slack
Post em ere if there's any more xf updates has Trace doing Purple Rain, not Storm |
By:
So many great Prince songs and they peddle that dirge again.
Well, ok it's far from bad, but sick of hearing it |
By:
I also think purple rain needs retiring, although Danyl did top the voting the week he sung it last year, despite his version being lacklustre and one of his worst IMO - so it may not turn out to be the worst decision.

Was that not more to do with a b2 bounce and sympathy vote?

Storm Lee – Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
By:
Nice song, but will this audience get it given that they'll be hearing it for the 1st time [;)]
By:
Weasel tweeted last night that Storm was singing Purple Rain so I'm guessing that two had the same song and Storm's was changed presumably because he has no chance of winning

Not the old "arguing over a song choice" routine. Not many to choose from I s'pose

What are the exact times for SCD / XF tonight?
Looks like there is a small overlap? I guess it won't affect many acts as it takes them about ten minutes to introduce the judges and contestants, as if we don't know who they are. |
By:
Strictly finishes at 7.45, X Factor starts at 7.30
By:
Everyone appears to be pulling that old "sore throat" chestnut this week.

By:
Although Purple Rain is another re-hash (why do they have to do this every year?!), it's understandable that they would want to give it to Treyc rather than Storm... She'll no doubt do a Ruth Lorenzo and get the plaudits. Having said that Storm will probably still do a decent version of Springsteen - if a little hammed up...

Some good song choices so far apart from the young lads.
Maybe a small drift on them tonight? |

X Factor Scot Storm Lee fights mystery bug ahead of live show

altho SCowell's favourite words this series "current", "relevant" and even "different" hardly spring to mind.

Here's the latest... My guess for Wagner to do Tom Jones 'Sex Bomb' wasn't far off the mark!
Mary Byrne – You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me by Dusty Springfield One Direction – My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson Treyc Cohen – Purple Rain by Prince Storm Lee – Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen John Adeleye – A Song For You by Donny Hathaway Paije Richardson – If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys Katie Waissel – I’d Rather Go Blind by Etta James Wagner – Help Yourself by Tom Jones One Direction and Paije look distinctly dodgy so far... |
By:
I'd rather go blind is a good song. Don't think Katie's got the best voice to pull it off but she might just be ok this week with that.
By:
I cant see what you think is dodgy about Paige's song choice Dizzy?
great track and should suit his voice more than that pappy crap he had last week |
By:
Good song, just not sure it's right for his voice - or popular enough with the public...
By:
Simon always has a bloody cold. I think it's just bad aids
By:
seems a popular enough song to me, has been covered on AI five times and probably keys most plated song. Paige shouldnt have too much trouble with it, imo
By:
John and Paije both have weak songs there, if that's the correct list
By:
*played
By:
I think John's song is a nice song but a bit slow and a dirge. Just doesn't go anywhere. Not exactly the 'wow' factor.
I've said it before of ALL the songs he could choose that's the best he/they could come up with? |
By:
One Direction stitched up by Cowell
By:
If Cowell doesn't want Mary winning he's going an odd way about it.
She has the only really decent song choice so far |
By:
have John, Paije and Weasel's songs been confirmed anywhere?
By:
There's no doubt imo that he (or tptb) want Mary around for a while.
By:
early days, he understands the peaks and troughs, look at say, vickers for an example

..and if you saw watchdog, as does Tesco, cider ;)

Did you see my note to sean, Hill Billies have done it again!
By:
Yep, I was going to join in but robster has severely limited my account :(

By:
I seem to gotten away, so far, stans I can now forget, Spoils cut me once and that is it, still have a few firms that I haven't even opened an acc with.
Don't know what the compiler is thinking of, gone from one extreme to the other. |

I see they have a market for over/under 13.5 million for X Factor. It's 5/6 either way. Do you "higher, higher" or am I on the wrong programme!! Cheers |
By:
LOU
Put it this way, every results show beat that last year, and this year has been doing better to date. |
By:
Cider
I trust you. Do you think I should have a bottle on at 5/6 overs? I've just this minute opened the account and put it in. Shall I go for it? Cheers |
By:
Clearly you are responsible for your own bets, LOU. I would price overs up at long odds-on. IMO the line should be around 15 million.
