With the recession in Ireland nobody will be able to afford the 50p calls.
Hasn't she already taken part in an Irish public voting talent show and got nowhere? Can't see her winning.

TG4 was formerly known as Teilifís na Gaeilge or TnaG, before a rebranding campaign in 1999. TG4 was the third national station to be launched in Ireland; after RTÉ One in 1961 (as Teilifís Éireann) and RTÉ Two in 1978, and was followed by TV3 in 1998. The channel has 800,000 viewers who tune into the channel each day to view a broad programming policy. It has a share of 3% of the national television market. The daily Irish language programme schedule is its core service: seven hours of programming in Irish supported by a wide range of material in other languages such as French and English.

I stand corrected. It was the laughable record sales I was thinking about. Be fun to see the numbers of phone voters. Her asda colleagues probably enough to win it for her.
Do big brassy women ever win these things? Rowetta?

Evnin all! Was gonna post a thread re Ireland now being able to vote, but only heard it on radio this evening coming from the daily grind. Also I did not have the full facts. Realistically this won't change the o/r imho, but Mary in a few eviction battles will defo make for some fun! Underestimate the Irish vote at your peril ladies and gents! You've been warned. I'm sure survation and other polls will be able to take this into consideration. Fig's the man here! Ireland's first chance to vote in a UK tv format!?! - there will be a massive push behind MaBy! I don't think it'll get her over the line, but certainly it will catapult her up a few notches & through a few eviction battles. This year in the All Ireland Talent show, admittedly a poor relation of BGT, there were 800k votes on finals night!?!
