Is she really favourite if she gets 'in'.

I see on another thread GeorgeBrush thinks she is.

Im not sure. Ultimately you are backing the winner (trading in and out aside) and her winning would be a serious undermindment of Cheryl.

Just wondered what the forums views on this was?

If she does get back in she has to be initial favourite with the wave of public support.

That doesn't mean she would win as she would almost certainly burn and fade away but initially she has to be favourite.

Clear fav if she gets in imo.

As for serious undermindment of Cheryl Cheryl will say (via others maybe) that she had no choice because of the visa situation and Cowell wouldn't deny it.

However people may be overestimating the machine's sensitivity to public feeling (feeling which is stupid and fickle anyway). When Lucie was kicked out last year there was the same eruption, bigger in fact as some fool MP raised it in parliament, and in a couple of weeks it was all forgotten.

But Henry, the fact she was never in Cheryls initial three is a serious disadvantage to her. Particularly when the judges vote!

Chep I don't think she'll win and yes, Cowell could very easily dump her from B2, I just think she'll be fav for a while.

chepster makes a good point.  simon's spent a lot of time building cheryl up, he's not going to let her look like a clown by having gamu win, and he's not going to let her look like a puppet by having her talk pathetically of not having a choice.

if she gets back in (she won't) then she ain't winning.  support will peak too soon and simon won't let her win.

I think if Gamu gets in she wins. Dont get me wrong im not very keen on her as i think Rebecca is by far and away the best singer in the comp. However Gamu is getting so much publicity via facebook etc i think she may gain the vote from the member of the public that would not normally watch the show, even anti the show. She will also have a much larger fan base from day one because of all the press she has had this week and its my guess that on this weeks first live show she will be the centre of attention. Hope not though and i hope im wrong. Go Rebecca

Which means he won't even risk her winning by having her back in in the first place. I'd be surprised if she came back. (Cheryl wouldn't need to talk pathetically though, info can be released by an unattributable aide of and aide, and then forgotten about. Whatever happens it won't effect Cheryl).

Unless he actually wants Gamu to win which seems unlikely to say the least then he cannot risk putting her back in.

But the fact that this morning gamu not being in has got him on the front page of 3 tabloids and the fastest growin page on facebook is manna from heaven for him.

As usual there is only one real winner and that is Simon Cowell.

I think it's gradually filtering through to the public what a manipulative koont he is HF

That's not to say the public won't still buy it, but it does affect his stature as a 'impartial' judge

I wish you were right GB but I think you massively over estimate the general public.

The will believe what they are spoon fed by the TV and the tabloids and none of the red tops will have the guts to really have a go at him.  The public may get angry with him but I just don't see that he actually wants them to be angry with him.

Ah yes, it's a limited effect of course.

Think we could see a good run for an anti-Cowell candidate again this time.

One secretly he wants to keep in of course...

I suppose I am rose tinted somewhat. I think the public do see straight through Cowell mostly, but are quiet prepared to be knowingly complicit in his games

Clearly the whole thing is by design innit, two acts limp out/fail at JH but put through leaving Gamu to get the final cull. Others had equally strong claims, but that's the power of the edit.
They could obviously have refilmed, retaken the JH as many times as they wanted.
If Gamu does by hook or crook make it on the lives this charade will long be forgotten by judgement time.
There are enough shrood marketers on this to keep Gamu out at a reasonable price (if she makes it) on here, will be a lot shorter with the trads tho obviously.

To clarify, the first line above is related to the CC thing as it has all gone the way it was meant to, with her 'credibility' seemingly in 'jeopardy'. I don't believe Cowell wouldn't sell out CC in an instant, but Gamu could make it to the lives, have autotune swtched of and CC proved 'right' all along.

Cole is damaged goods anyway now imo.

Her real problem is Nicole Scherzinger..someone who clearly is an infinitely better judge

Cowells plans to use Cole in X Factor USA are surely up in the air now.
Nicole is everything she isn't.

She can sing, she can lead a group, she can talk the talk, she can move
and crucially she's smart enough to stand up to Simon and use her brain to out flank him(e.g the category changes).

Did you see her at the start of the Singapore GP aa?  The brainless fvckwit bimbo in her seemed to be in charge

I think the only real difference is in mental stability and confidence
