Seems to be finally happening a bit - I guess on this Gamu fuss

But really, if you are getting 4 wildcards it should be in the range 90 - 80 % anyway.

Even if you then have to vote for 1, it'll prove that candidate to be somewhat popular and will have necessitated a good performance to get there.  They could debut as low as 10

Think it just reflects caution in that no-one seems to know exactly what is happening.

I agree though that if it is a vote FOR one they would be a big runner, and probably deserve as much of the market as the four 'plus ones' combined.

With the Winner market currently showing a huge overround at circa 94%/91% back/lay that represents a large free money oppotunity for either someone in 'the know' or a shrewdie.

Either, there is going to be a wild card entry and if so Gamu is the obvious choice to be the hot favourite of any new contestant likely entering the market at circa 5.0-6.0 ( 20% to 16% ) and laying the current market at 91% = WINNER.

or there is no wild card entry and 'Any Other Winner' is added to the market at a likely price of 50-100 ( 1% to 2% ) and backing the current market at 94% = WINNER

Some one in the know can clean up here.

P.S.
Anyone for another MoneySavingExpert ( lol ) incident on this market ?

Remind me Escapee?

Tell them that someone made a mistake on the market?  Surely they couldn't fall for it again? Grin

Cheryl Cole was reportedly told not to pick X Factor's Gamu Nhengu as one of her three finalists due to fears that her visa may not be renewed.

Viewers of the ITV reality show have reacted furiously after Cole chose not to put Gamu through to the live shows, over 133,000 of whom have now joined a Facebook campaign.

"It was made clear Gamu shouldn't go through because of the visa," an insider told The Mirror. "Cheryl didn't have a say."

It is claimed that Cole was ordered not to choose the 18-year-old Zimbabwe-born singer over concerns that her visa would not be renewed, leading to her having to leave the country.

A production source said: "Cheryl didn't have much of a say in the matter. It was made clear that Gamu shouldn't be put through because they had issues with her, including the visa.

"A lot of people on the show think it's really unfair that Cheryl is taking all the flak as it was a group decision and she was just following orders."

They continued: "It's ridiculous the situation has got this far. It should have been knocked on the head much earlier on. Gamu should never have been put through to the Judges' Houses with question marks surrounding her visa.

"Everyone on the show has themselves to blame for not being straight from the beginning. Gamu not getting through has now become a bigger talking point than the 12 finalists."

An X Factor spokesman added: "Gamu's visa being processed was not the reason that she didn't make the final 12."

However, he apparently confirmed that the papers are still being renewed and therefore have not yet been processed.

Cheryl is shortening disproportionately to her acts in the twelve, and someone wants to pile on at 2.6 ish

Any thoughts? Grin

It feels like big brother Grin just constantly lay the field at minimal cost and build up a huge A/O green

Yep Jack, and that £1200 was a decent hedge against any decent AO turning up for Biffa Cole

I guess the XF punters are less tuned into the AO concept than the BB ones. And the BB ones are pretty lax at times

Extremely lax, can't remember a year where building up A/O was a mistake. Wish I'd seen that 2.6 btw Grin

Still astounded Wagner is there at 200's, and laddies are happy to take up to £250 on him. I'm up to my eyeballs on Wagner/Diva Fever/TreyC.

You can still lay at around 2.8 Jack and back on the main market for about 3.2

(assuming you have a decent AO green, which I'm certain you will)

I shall let it ride for a while. I only rate Rebecca, but even she will be outshone at first imho

Yep, would be rude not to take that 200 on Wagner, but I guess the others aren't so great now

Treyc and Paije 50s not bad, but I can't get on there, and of course there may be a vote yet

Diva Fever 100s? Dunno if I'll bother Laugh

Again the punters pile on jack, with the gamu news maybe.

Almost totally ignoring the fact you either have 4 WC's turning up on Saturday, or 1 popular one Shocked
