My money is on, so fingers crossed and good luck to fellow One Direction backers.
Reasons;
1: It must have been pre-arranged by Simon Cowell that a boyband would be formed as otherwise there is no way Liam Payne and to a slightly less but still significant degree Harry would not have made the Boys group.
2: It is therefore no great shock to see that Simon Cowell is the mentor for the groups.
3: When told that he was mentoring the groups Simon Cowell said "It was a stitch up" (implying that he had been given the worst category). A classic example of Simon Cowells use of irony in that he was telling the truth but not the way 99.9% of people would interpret it.
4: Talent. It appears to be a very weak show and I fail to see any serious opposition to them. They also can only improve as the show goes on, after having a fairly limited time so far as a group.
5: The judges vote. The only time a judge will vote against them will be to protect one of their own. Louis may even vote against one of his golden oldies to keep the boy band in!
6: The public vote. Even if they were talentless they would still get the teenage girl, gay and granny vote. The fact that they can sing gives them a virtual monopoly on the votes. (Come the final look to back them again to win by a high %age of the vote).
Anyway, those are my thoughts. Good luck to everyone who backs them.

I think it'll take them a few weeks to get it right. Cowell being the mentor doesn't help either, as the public are more likely to react against ramps for his own act Possibles though |

Vying for favourtism now, and tonights performance was nothing to shout about. The opposition is beginning to fall by the wayside already. The only dangers appear to be Aiden and Mad Mary!

One Direction will take some beating, IMO. Matt ridiculously underpriced in comparison.
