Henry thats me sinitta Louis and i suspect Nicki and Keith who think Gamu is a superstar. Whats your problem? Please do not say she is ugly that says more about people saying it than it does about Gamu.

yeah look, we all know gamu is a superstar ok. people that couldnt see that frankly arent particularly on the ball. but the problem for me, and its a big problem, is that although we know there are wildcards, there are worrying rumours that it is treyc that gets cheryl's wildcard over gamu. is it possible that katie gets thrown out and gamu gets in, as frankly i now think that is her only shot. the other salvation is the knowledge that would the producers risk so much oppobrium by giving gamu so much airtime, having louis fall in love with her, and then not even getting her through to the live shows. i am hoping we are underestimating cowell here

I didn't say she was ugly, I just asked what was so special about her and I stated that my vomiting was brought on by people going on about her not by her physical appearance, which doesn't offend me in the slightest, and I agree that such an accusation says more about the people saying it, maybe they are the real ugly ones - on the inside rather than out (or maybe it could be just that the people they are calling ugly are ugly), and that it is so superficial and negative to talk about someone's appearance (as if that was the only thing that defined them) but having said all that, you have to agree that she is an ugly fvck. |

well to answer the initial question....she has an effortlessly fantastic voice....she can sing ballad or up tempo with ease (which we haven't seen from cardle or winehou....i mean rebecca yet)...she's quirky....and full of confidence without being big headed with it.....for my money she is the best we've seen since leona lewis....but i can understand why layers of her wouldn't be able to see these things

Simple answer she did not need the autotune as she demonstrates on her next appearance where she holds and controls a note in a virtuoso fashion. Those who noticed the note know what is so special about her.

Annoyed that only bookies had opportunity to lay her as I didn't think she'd be chosen. However if she does make it I'd hold off laying - different casual viewers I spoke with yesterday: "I think it's shocking that blonde one went through and not the Zimbabwean". |

i think henry that there is a justifiable uproar, and it is surely unlikely that the program makers would let someone like that slip through, despite sinitta's texts. i am thinking katie may get slung off....

well its not that henry its more that i will to think i know a bit about the way producers work having worked in the industry for a while. and i dont believe they would give her the airtime, build her up so obviously as an incredible talent, have louis fall in love with her and not find a way of manoeuvering her through to the live shows.
so, on one side we have the obvious manipulation of the audience, the story arcs etc etc and gamu has to be through, but countering that we have the rumours that treyc gets the wildcrd. so its hard to work it out |

What are the source of the treyc rumours nick?
Is it merely a 'it ain't over' tweet? Could just be that they genuinely don't find out until Saturday. I know squares points out that preparing all 20 rejects to sing if called on is a logistical nightmare, but far from impossible |

Actually there's a hell of a lot more than that guys; Treyc did an interview with the local paper where she went to college and she says she's never been happier but can't say why; her friends on facebook are asking why Cheryl came to her home town etc.
(Actually that's a good question, maybe XF will have all the judges going to the homes of the wildcards to "break" the good news.) |

Sounds credible It would be exactly the style of this show for Cheryl to knock on her chosen one's door and say I have got some news for you. And it has to be soon to give her chance to reherse.
having said that I think the the wild cards already knew who they are. Cheryl's vist was staged after the event for melodramatic TV values. Hence Tom in the welsh papers. Still looks bad for Gamu. No change. BTW is Gamu still contractually obliglgated to Simon despite auto tune gate, visagate and now this. |
