Preferred Wagner like

lou this is what i have been saying for a fortnight on this forum. it doesnt make sense as she is so strong and has been accorded so much airtime. i can only assume there is a twist to allow her back in - this star story re wildcards sounds feasible

Wagner awful George as well you know. A good few runners this year though. Strongest I've seen.

nick face
Hope so. Thought she was a real runner. Open contest though |
|
By:
yeah not sure myself
think there are only 5 possible winners, taking into account potential popularity and singing ability gamu, cher, rebecca boyband and matt i am pretty convinced the young boyband will be right there at the end, it just makes sense in every way |

We'll see. Waiting for the market before I say too much.

Back till the final George. Not generally around on Saturday's but I record it and watch next day with the wife. She deliberately doesn't watch it either till Sunday. Aah bless!

what will matt be able to sing that needs to be performed at a faster pace than a funeral march though

i've missed lou.
lou - if it were a singing competition, who would you fancy this year? |
|

It IS a singing competition. I will let you know after the first week's show when I've had my bet. I want to hear them properly and see also if the likes of Gamu and Trayc perhaps join the runners and riders. I've already laid one heavy who I don't think will win (hopefully) |
|
By:
a singing competition only in name.
big panto in reality - but great fun! have you layed the chav? |
|
By:
It only becomes a singing contest when they grt down to the last 4 or 5 and Cowell will have made sure anyone that sings better than his chosen act will be gone by then.

Don't want to say yet as I'll be having my bet at the weekend. Still think ultimately the best/2nd best singer will win it as did Leona/Alexandra/Rhydian (should have won by a million miles, luckily I laid him off at something like 1.14 so got away with it but Leon very average) and last year Joe brilliant every week. Who you fancy? |
|
By:
like HF says, i don't see it as a singing contest till the business end. but like you say, the winner will generally be one of the better singers.
have a 14/1 ticket about rebecca which is nice, but i'd think the boyband will be given every single chance to do well - they appear to be the obvious chosen ones. however on here, i'm trying to lay a good chunk on all of them as i wouldn't be shocked if all 4 wildcards became proper contestants. |
|

That may have been true in years gone by, but certainly not last year. Olly Murs is proof of that. A boy with no singing ability whatsoever still managed to come second. As Cowell repeatedly says, it's about finding a pop star and someone that can sell records. It's obviously a bonus if they can also sing. But the way the show gets manipulated by Cowell, someone with a mediocre singing voice can probably win if they look the part and do what they're told. |
|
By:
I agree with Mikeey about Olly Murs. Thought he was very very average and of the 12 finalists would have rated him about 9th personally. Got to the final though so had something I suppose but not for me. Thank god Joe won!
|
|
By:
God saw to it, yes
|
|
By:
You are missing the whole point, Joe was Cowells chosen one all along, the only one who could actually out sing him (Lucie) was duly stitched up and dispatched and then Joe has a nice clear run to the winning line proven by the fact Olly did come 2nd.
One week Olly came bottom of the vote below Jedward if I remember correctly. |
|
By:
And anyone who is going to try and say Danyl could out sing him don't even bother!
|
|
By:
You gotta love meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
![]() Good old Danyl. Fanks for the lays |

There were about 6 better than Lucie in the competition. Just because you say she was the best, better even than Joe doesn't mean to say she was. IMO Joe and Danyl were the best singers in it. One won it, the other was 4th after getting a terrible press and didn't come across too well. Lucie just average. Now go away and back who you think is popular no matter what, meanwhile I'll pick the best singer and win ..........again. |
|
By:
best singers are rebecca, matt and john, but i have a feeling the boyband, who can all sing well, will win.
|
|
By:
6 better than Lucie [:o]
|
|
By:
lou - that's YOUR OPINION!! (in my opinion of course)
|

I put IMO in my statement (see above). My opinion had bode me very very well in EVERY W Factor since I started watching when Leona won. |

rikki?!?! best thing about him were his elton john eyebrows.
jamie affro - the BIGGEST fraud i've EVER seen in reality tv. possibly the best bet i've ever had was laying him sub 6.0 - genuine free money! the last i heard of the affro was a couple of weeks ago when he was playing a gig at a local gaelic sports club in a dublin suburb. rock n roll! |

Stacey could barely sing a note when it came to the crunch too
I suspect even the autotune had given up at that stage |
|
By:
if anyone's interested in jamie's recent work....
