If you insist Foyles! James is ahead on all measurements and has fewer mins on pitch already so messi needs 2 goal 2 assists, Muller needs 2 goals 1 assist - or both need 3 goals obv. Goals in 3rd place play off do count but personally I'd doubt Muller would play in that and I'm not so sure messi would as does golden boot mean enough to either of them?

i'll ask you this spyker, if the 3rd place playoff is brazil/argentina, do you think it would mean much to the argentines ?

I dunno mate - matches like that are always tough to call. You'd expect there to be goals but whether the top players would play is questionable - would Barca really want messi injured in such a match (esp with this Brazil team!)?

believe you me messi would play with a broken leg

What makes you say that Rider - not saying you're wrong, just interested in the alternative view?

the game/rivalry is massive even when only a friendly, they played 2 years ago, it was 4-3 to argentina and one of the best games you'll see, it means alot to the fans and no player would want to miss it

If messi has a chance to win the golden boot he'd play.

Messi got a hat-trick in that friendly I think too

Muller will not only play. But will also have one thing on his mind.
In 2010 he played like a man possessed in the 3rd place game obviously chasing the GB. I was on a couple of the others for the dead head and preying he didn't get a 2nd goal. |

Shame Germany will be in the final with Argentina, which could well be a 0-0
