Personally I think its been one of the worst and can´t understand all the carp being spouted by the pundits.
No outstanding teams. No outstanding players. No Ibra, no Falcao, no Reus, no Bale, no Ribery. Few great goals. Just about every so called ´big´ team outplayed at different times by plucky underdogs.
World´s ´best´ players and teams underperforming: Messi, Ronaldo, Aguero, Cavani, Hazard, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Argentina. Four semi-finalists and not one entertaining team among them: Perhaps the worst Argentina team in living memory against an ordinary Netherlands, and probably the worst Brazil WC team ever against a suddenly stodgy and conservative Germany. I don´t anticipate a goal feast now or any classic encounters.
Anybody can still win it but the winners won´t be long remembered by me.
Its a shame , a real shame but the world cup is no more than champions league with a campsite
See these players week in week out and drip fed football 24/7 , some as good and some better games
its like horseracing , lost the magic and allure due to saturation to the point off diluting these sports till they become tasteless
all to try grab as much money as the sods can
