It's the cross matching bot.
Whoever left the couple of quid up at 1000 got lucky. |
By:
Impossible for that to be a crossmatching bot.
By:
who on earth r what put the lays on?
By:
Sure it is. Happens occasionally in the correct score markets when there seems to be no money trying to back an outcome.
Usually an invisible bet of less than £2 or 2Euros. That's why they always seem to be matched to a low figure. |
By:
To be crossmatched at any odds of above 100-1, someone has to want to back something at less than 1.01. Impossible. All the crossmatching bot does is match a lay bet to a back bet at vice-versa on opposite odds.
By:
Well it's some kind of bot.
It usually happens when there is a betting frenzy such as when an extra time correct score market re-opens after a suspend. Or a couple of goals go in during a game in the TGS markets. If you look at the chart it's happen on 2 separate occasions with Messi. |
By:
r we saying her someone happily layed 800,900,1000?
a similar thing has occured with van persie! |
By:
And Muller / Persie and Robben for pennies.
By:
Messi is more than pennies though. Several thousand pound at stake to win a few loaves of bread.
By:
Correct. It is pennies on a number of occasions that turn into pounds.
Not a chance this is not a bot. |
By:
A bot is still someone's commands and money though.
By:
It happens when a numbers of other outcomes are being backed to decent values at well under the odds.
It uses the money up on the back side of other outcomes to fulfill the requests. Who guess the only long term losers are the under the odds backers. Not the penny Messi layer. |
By:
*Would guess
By:
Not a chance. Someone has had £2 at £990 = £2 to win £2000. Therefore on the flip side someone is backing £2000 to win £2. Or a group of backers/layers are anyway. This is nothing to do with backing low odds elsewhere. If it were matched at 50s or 100s, maybe, but that's impossible at 1000.
By:
So you are saying that someone is not only adjusting their stake to less than £2.
They are then changing the lay deliberately to 1000 on the fav. Then doing the same again for Muller and Persie? |
By:
Yes. Someone or something has laid £1 at 1000, £4 at 990 and £4 at 800 (or have those values anyway). And it's probably only two people, since there are just two spikes. Like you say, probably a bot, but an errant one. And a bot is still someone's money.

Hopefully penny man will come along and explain all.
