Betfair : Hello welcome to Betfair you are chatting with Catherine M. How can I help?
Me: Hello Betfair, I have a query about a 'settled' wager
Hi forumites- Please see the below and advise if you think I or Betfair are in the right?  Your assistance is appreciated.

Regards
The Sheikh

Me: 27-Jun-14
21:59     Brazil, Colombia, Netherlands & France all to win
Brazil, Colombia, Netherlands & France all to win - Brazil, Colombia, Netherlands & France all to win
10/1    30.00
Lost    0.00
Me: i just checked my account and this bet has been settled as a loss. i am confused as there was no "stipulation" in the rules that I saw when i placed the wager..and 3 out of 3 have "won" so far?
Me: the wager simply says "all to win" and they have?
Betfair: i will look into your account for you. Was this bet on the exchange?
Me: This was placed as a wager in the Sportsbook. it does not say "all to win" in 90 minutes or does not appear to have any note saying "no extra time" - please clarify.
Betfair: bear with me...
Me: will do my dear
Betfair: What is your favourite sports team and your date of birth please and I will check this for you
Me: ****** and ******
Betfair: Thank you
Betfair: Im just looking into this for you
Me: thanks Catherine
Betfair: Ok because the bet is based on the 90 minute result, that is why yours was a losing bet
Me: can you please send me where this was stipulated please catherine
Me: as i stated earlier when i placed the wagre (and on my statement) it simply states - All to win
Betfair: Yes but the bet is only on the 90 mins and not on extra time or penalties
Me: I will be fine as long as you can send it to me.
Betfair: I will have to see if I can find the link for you now as obviously the match is now over
Me: I can wait my dear, please send it in an email to me. I just think that perhaps the goalposts are being moved here and i will be more than staisfied if you can send me the actual wager information.
Me: can you send it in an email?
Betfair: These are listed in all markets for similar events. here is the link to another match in the world cup...
Betfair: http://www.betfair.com/exchange/football/event?id=27222350&exp=e
Me: thanks Betfair
Betfair: then click on the i button which gives information about betting on it
Me: can u please send a transcript of this chat to me?
Betfair: Do you want me to relay the terms in this transcript for you also?
Me: yes please my dear

Match betting is always based on a 90 minute match as far as i know.

Was there a draw option? If there was, it would have been 90 minute betting as you can't have a draw on a match where there needs to be a winner.

The market you should have chosen is the 'To Qualify' market, however the odds would have been shorter.

Win bets based on result at 90 mins, so don't think you have an argument, unless it's on a technicality regarding the wording, and even then, think you're up against it.

Surely you're aware of this rule?

90 mins there would have been a draw price, also the brazil price would reflect its 90mins the price would have been shorter to qu
alify which most punters would know.
It may sound obvious but if you wanted the bet to qualify there is a seperate market for that....its called strangly to qualify!

No case

open "my account", then click the "betting" tab across centre (near top under yellow banner) of screen, then tick box sportsbook, set date periods and you can opt for open or settled, select settled and then search

What a waste of everyone's time.

The to qualify prices were something like 1/3, 4/6, 1/3 and 1/3 and he thinks he's getting 10/1. Confused

Anything over 3/1 would have been a good price.
