Which player(s) has surprised you the most and which player has disappointed you the most?

One player who has really impressed me and surprised me the most has been Asamoah Gyan.  He's looked a constant threat against good opposition.  Joel Campbell and Ivan Perisic have also been mustard.

Biggest disappointment for me has been Romelu Lukaku.  He's looked lost, hopeless and devoid of movement or ideas.  There are plenty of others to choose from, Fred makes Brazil look as if they are playing with 10 men (like a game of kids footie where you've got one hopeless player so you just stick him up front to occupy the defenders), and the whole Spanish team.

You must've had an (understandably) low opinion of Gyan, as he's been about what I expected of him, ie. ok, nowt special. Agree about the other. I'm on Chile but I've still been impressed with every single one of them, Colombia too but I'd foolishly dismissed them pre-tourney. Rodriguez has obviously got most of the attention, but I like Gutierrez too. Mexican keeper deserves a mention purely on his Brazil display. Took a few pennies on him at 20 for top goalie - obviously they must get past Croatia for him to have any chance.

Lukaku has been dreadful. Devoid of any interest too, if you ask me. I hope the kid that scored yesterday takes his place. Fred (pronounced Fredge, apparently!) must've won his place in the Brazil team on a scratchcard or summat. Absolutely woeful. Diego Costa may not have impressed either, but how Brazil could let him slip when they have to resort to playing that useless fecker up front is beyond me.

I missed Colombia v Greece.  I think it's the only game I missed.  I am a tad surprised at their outright price, although it looks like they are going to end up with the toughest possible route to the final.  Bizarrely, second place in Group C looks like being the easiest.

Lukaku got an injury in a friendly a few weeks before the WC started.. he clearly isnt 100 % fit

Arjen Robben has been fantastic so far.

Paul Pogba from France looks world class... WTF was fergie thinking to let him go from Man.Utd... he is like a new patrick viera
