Cant help thinking that corner for Kloses equaliser should have been retaken as the ball wasnt in the corner quarter. Rules state that it has to be in or on the line. IMO it wasnt. Just watched again on MOTD catchup and nothing changes my opinion.

hi just about to post this myself no pundits or commentators saw it told my wife who was watching with me this is illegal and he did it twice and no one noticed good spot thought I was only one who noticed!

Just for your info, the ball is regarded as "in" the quadrant these days if it overhangs the white line.
The logic would appear to be that the whole of the ball has to cross the touchline to be deemed "out", ergo, so long as the whole of the ball is not outside the quadrant it will be deemed "in" it. You see it in the EPL all the time. |
