If he had not been hounded out because of those comments we may have had a decent side 10 years ago

Sorry but Hoddle is a fruitcake.
It was only a matter of time before he appointed Derek Acorah and Psychic Sally Morgan to the backroom staff.
He was rightly hounded out for his rather odd views.
