Some countries players belt out their national anthem but the England players barely mumble ours.
Why is this?
Could it have anything to do with the words?
God save our gracious Queen,

We'd be better off ditching the words and just playing the music.

They should choose a better song. Maybe something from snoop doggy dogg, dr dre, nwa etc. The English national anthem is really boring, I wouldn't sing it either.

It is worse than boring the lyrics are subservient to the queen. The queen doesn't rule over us. We have a democratically elected government who are supposed to govern the country. They don't rule over us!
And we are largely a secular country. I doubt too many footballers go to church on a Sunday. |
