Might add, I don't think they'll win it, but I reckon we could get a good run for our money. Lets be honest, they were always (probably) gonna lose tonight, but cant see any obstacles for them to get out the group. Ridiculous price.

Will get palped if they by some miracle they win

You wont see your money again if they dont

win tonight? Or win the tourney? See what price they are for the WC at the end of the match.
Report FredRescue June 16, 2014 12:03 AM BST
BWIN will invoke palpable error if Bosnia win the tournament dude. The price is more than double betfair should have set the alarm bells ringing.
Report Rory B. Bellows June 16, 2014 12:04 AM BST
oddschecker has every bookie bigger than betfair though. Coral were next best @ 250/1

Interestingly enough if you now look at bwin's outright market they only list 31 teams- guess whos missing....
Report Arrers June 16, 2014 4:43 PM BST
The guys on here are probably right, will be palped if it wins. Bwin are a horrible firm, don't touch them.
Report Blackwater June 16, 2014 4:59 PM BST
You're not wrong about Bosnia, though. They looked like a proper side last night.
Report bb66 June 16, 2014 5:24 PM BST
I have an account with them for historic reasons, and since some days I get the message logging in, that I'm excluded from any promotionsSad
Report yapyapyap37 June 16, 2014 6:24 PM BST
Don't bet with BWIN.I withdrew around £2000 and now the most I can win on any bet with them is £50!!
Report bb66 June 16, 2014 6:30 PM BST
I'm limited to €60 (incl stake) on livebets, 200€ stake otherwiseCry
Report bb66 June 16, 2014 6:35 PM BST
but once they voided a livebet on cycling where they had put up odds on the single escapee the wrong way round, which would have lost finallyLaugh
Report stu June 17, 2014 9:50 AM BST
How can they palp that bet - surely allowed to be bigger priced? 500/1 about right for them to win the tourny IMO.
Report stu June 17, 2014 9:51 AM BST
Been laid up to 900 on here..

Really like how these small balkan nations like Croatia and Bosnia play their football

Both these countries have tiny populations but manage to play to win and play without fear and go toe to toe with the top teams.
Report stu June 17, 2014 10:00 AM BST
Makes the old Scottish argument about population size seem rather weak, yes.
Report stu June 17, 2014 10:04 AM BST
Far less in Bosnia than the population of London!

Why?

Of the world's 100 most populous nations 29 qualified for the World Cup = 29%
Of the world's 134 least populous nations 3 qualified for the World Cup = 2.2%

Seems a pretty strong argument to me.
Report stu June 17, 2014 6:36 PM BST
Well, could reverse the question - how do smaller countries like Croatia do so well?
Report stu June 17, 2014 6:37 PM BST
Obviously, population can be an advantage - but the point is it doesn't have to be.
Report stu June 17, 2014 6:38 PM BST
Plus your example is only looking at the two ends of the extreme (scotland not in there)

So your question is now how do countries like Scotland do so well when they have small popopulation?
Report stu June 19, 2014 10:07 AM BST
They've got a bigger population than Bosnia or Croatia Fred, so not that small for a country that never qualifies. Plus, football is a major sport in Scotland (aside from curling).
Report stu June 19, 2014 10:27 AM BST
If add in countries like Demnark and Sweden regular performers, also with small populations.
Report stu June 19, 2014 10:31 AM BST
I think best way to consider population is very similar to something like attendance in football - it's a factor, but not the key one in terms of playing strength.

I cant see how they could either.

Anyway, I emailed them for confirmation and today (4 days later!) received a reply stating the bet was still standing Plain

bwin can rest easy.

Dzeko was a disgrace. Total disinterest as he lazily lumbered around. Not a **** was given compared to players like Pjanic and that Besic kid who can play and loves a tackle.
