Can anyone explain why this guy gets paid ? His forecasts are consistently appalling. Sat. RP...."Azzurri lack tools to overcome England". OK, fair enough but..England have nothing to fear from Pirlo & Ballotelli ?? Rest of column..Uruguay should beat Costa Rica..Best bet is Greece & draw double chance, as apparently "they wont concede many goals". No, just the three!. Betting Brain indeed.

The rest of the R.Post pundits are far worse. Consistently wrong with their football analysis.

Yep, me too - for some reason these places seem to think that ex-players will make a good tipster. Or maybe it's solely for the image the player brings - however that image is often a reckless punter without a clue! Grin

A more accurate thread would have been to slate R.Post WC analysis in general. They all wrote off Netherlands and Germany at this tournament in their preview - impressive group think Laugh

A lot of the pundits were putting Italy as not all that and over the hill.  Almost as if they agreed on a theme.

It pust England's performance in perspective.

Didi is okay as a TV pundit - he's been on Irish television all day today. But I'm not sure I'd want to take betting advice from him.

Apparently, when he was a player, he could get a quarter of a million on in a single bet.

Meanwhile the rest of us struggle to get £50 on at any price worth taking.

I doubt any bookie would knock back a 1/4 million quid bet from that mug

The guys is a joke at tipping. Pre tournament his bets included

2-1 Italy not to qualify
8-11 Germany group goals under 6.5

Didi said that Germany would not get past the quarter finals in his WC preview in the RP.Laugh

They looked like potential winners to me yesterday

Belgium -1 handicap, another loser (Belgium won by 1 goal). No points stated for a bet.
If he asks the Post for a loan of 30 points, hopefully they'll say no.
