I thought they played ok and dfeserved a draw at least.perrera out will help and hopefully suez so eng have a favourites chance of beating uraguay. ideally eng could do with Italy winning last two games

I thought Italy, especially Pirlo, picked England apart at will. England were lively going forward but lacked a quality final ball, the kind Pirlo excels in.
Defensively England were poor and I fear they will lose many goals in the next 2 games. Surely Uruguay and Coasta Rica must be thinking of having a right go at their defence. |

high landr I don't think they pickd us apart at will, hart only made a couple of other saves, first goal was from a corner the second from a cross and a header not from playing thru us 9that didn't happen once) they nearly scored from pirlos free kick but hey if someone scores a goal like that against you sobeit .it was an even game in my view and if both team do progress and happen to meet again it would be no big surprise if the result was different.

one headed off the line with the keepers rooted ,hit the post end of the first half , then they took the lead and coasted home after that using all their experience ,in reality in was comfortable enough for them and they are far from what they used to be . 4/5 England to qualify ,, obv hope they can but head says thats a big lay all day long

It was a surprise to see England favourites against Italy.
Within the first few minutes Italy started to show their class holding possession around the English penalty area with incisive controlled through passes then England running fast towards the Italian penalty area and putting inaccurate crosses over. At that point it was clear that the odds were wrong. If England do the same in the next matches then they're going home. The commentators are already starting to suggest that ENgland might do well in the next World Cup - that is when they're not screaming and shouting when England string a passes together. |

Before the Italy game on fair England were favs to win the group bizzarly.

I see where youre coming from xmoney but as eng started 2.6 ih to beat Italy and were considered to have play ok , since that uraguay have been turned over at odds on against costa rica and deservedly so I guess eng are bound to be shorter thn the 2.6 they were to beat the azzuri. not saying id back them at the current price bu id be in no hurry to lay them either,ifancy them to just about win . hopefully Italy can beat costa comfortably leaving eng the chance of going thry with a draw in the last game.

Very poor showing from England last nite
 Never looked comf at the back at anytime, all over the shop in fact  Should have took Big J T with them imo, best English centre half by a mile. On that showing they will do well to get ANY win. |
