The players have been threatening to strike for a few months now over a dispute about pay and bonuses.

It resulted in a standoff at the airport on Sunday and the team didn't leave until 24 hours after they were originally intended to.

Despite the dispute being 'resolved', this sort of thing is not good preparation (South Africa had similar problems in 2010), so I'd definitely be looking to oppose them against Mexico on Friday.

Things won't get any better for them; their second game against Croatia is in the hot, humid jungle of Manaus where they will get a says less rest than the Croatians; another lay.

By the time they get to their final game against Brazil, they are likely to already be out of the competition, and could well make sure they throw the match by 3-4 goals and get the money they feel they should have got from the federation off the asian syndicates.

Whereas Mexico's preparation has been seamless.
They have only had 4 managers in the last 18 months and had to qualify through an intercontinental play off versus New Zealand and also Carlos Vela refuses to play for them.

Struggling to qualify 9 months ago is completely different to being willing to go on strike less than a week before your first game.

Cameroon didnt look a bad team when i saw them last week v Germany. One thing i would say is there will be goals when then play. Lost count of the number of times the centre back went on mazey dribbles up field leaving huge gaps in behind!

Having watched Nigeria defend against my beloved Scotland and make Grant Hanley look almost capable - they are my team to lay.  Argentina and Bosnia could destroy them!
