Am I correct in saying if both win their respective groups, they can then only meet in the final?

If not, how can they meet prior to the final?

Ta in advance

That is correct. Hence why the price for the 2 market favourites to meet in the final is also the favourite in that market.

Yes if they win their groups they are in opposite halves of the draw. You can only meet anyone in the oposite half of the draw as you in the final.

If one of them (but not both) finishes runner-up then they can not meet in the final.

Stats say there has been a European side in each final since the 50s

Argentina have some great players but they don't seem to be a great team. I doubt they'll make the final. I doubt they'll beat Germany.

Spain only team imo who could ruin the Brazil & Argie final
Report marychain1 June 11, 2014 1:56 PM BST
There are plenty of teams that can beat Argentina. I'm not sure who could beat Brazil.

Maybe so but my cash on on the Argies so i wont be having any of that chat

Brazil are not unbeatable. The Netherlands showed in the last world cup that the Samba Boys don't like real pressure.

And any defence/midfield with sideshow in it is always likely to leak goals.

Yes, I've heard people say that David Luiz can't defend, but the facts don't really back that up. Chelsea had the best defensive record in the Premier League, and Brazil have had 11 clean sheets in the last year, and only conceded more than 1 once, a 4-2 win against Italy.

too predictable so not likely
