... but I have gone big on them, €400 at 269.2 for €107,290.
I think they are a good trading opportunity at 260 for a few reasons.
(1) Able to mix it with the best. In WC 2010 Germany beat them 1-0, beat USA in the WC 2010 last 16, went out in the quarters in WC 2010. Suarez handled on the line to deny them a semi-final place. (4) André Ayew, Asamoah Gyan, Jonathan Mensah, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Kwadwo Asamoah, Samuel Inkoom, Sulley Muntari, who are in the 2014 squad, were also in their 2010 squad (5) Average age of the 26 players in the 2014 preliminary squad is 25.2 (6) Even with 6 of the 26 squad having less than 10 caps, the average caps of the 26 player squad is 26 appearances. (7) 1st Group G matches: 13:00 local time Germany V Portugal in Salvador (avg daily high temp 80 deg, 82% humidity); 19:00 local USA V Ghana , avg high temp 82 deg, ??% humidity) (8) Most of the Germany team are big units, from 6'0" to 6'6". A 13:00 start in their first match will be draining, especially chasing Ronaldo. (9) 2nd Group G match five days later Germany V Ghana 16:00 local time, avg temp 79, humidity 81%. I hope Germany will still be feeling the first match in their legs.
I know the past is not the future. But I think Germany and Portugal will have a draining first match at 13:00 in high heat and humidity. Ghana and the USA should have easier conditions. Big players imo will find it harder to handle the conditions, and I think Germany might come unstuck, either against Portugal in the first game, or against Ghana in the second.
