Australia has a challenging task in their group with heavyweights Spain, Netherlands as well as plucky South American team, Chile.

If you were predicting the 'Number of Points' that Australia could get from this group how many do you think they can get? There is a strong likelihood they could get 0

id have something like:

0 points                 2.40
1 point                  3.45
2 points                 20.00
3 points               6.00
4 points or more   13.00

Australia matches at 2014 WC Price
Chile 1.49, Draw 4.30, Australia 8
Netherlands 1.32, Draw 5, Australia 8.60
Spain 1.23, Draw 5.80, Australia 9.60

Would u agree with those prices?

I'd be pricing up '0' at around 8/11 personally. Australia are an ageing side with little quality, from a very weak qualifying region. Can't see them scoring, let alone troubling anyone in that very tricky group.

Chile at 1.5ish would be a cracking bet imo. I really think Aus get 0 pts and odds against for that would be a nice bet.

First up Chile backed into 1.44.  Chile win, Netherlands 1.27.  Netherlands win and Spain have something to play for, Spain will be 1.13.  Makes it 2.06.  Should Spain have nowt to play for, which would be unlikely, 2.38.

If there is one thing about Australia, I expect their defence to still be 'tough to crack' at the back. Might get good value for 'Under 2.5 goals' in their matches.

having a look at how they performed in 2010 World Cup
Germany 4-0 Australia (they were clearly outclassed)
Ghana 1-1 Australia
Australia 2-1 Serbia (it was a game where they had to win by at least 4 goals to progress, and had to attack)

2006 World Cup
Australia 3-1 Japan
Brazil 2-0 Australia
Croatia 2-2 Australia (a game where they needed to at least draw to qualify)
Italy 1-0 Australia

Might be worth laying the Dutch, Spain or Chile to score less than 3 goals , as I do think the bigger teams struggle to break down Australia's defence.

Australia have gone downhill a lot since then.  They don't have players of the quality of Kewell and Viduka any more, let alone Neill Emerton Cahill and Shwarzer

I wouldn't take 2006 in to account. They had Hiddink in charge, who's a miracle worker.
